Bad app and policy

Very inconvenient

What is this

I can hand a 10 year old an app creator kit and they’d make a better app than this. I’ve never seen an app that forces you to log in every single time.

Horrible— designed by interns and committee

Classic work from UCD. A committee of supervisors assigned this to an intern and it basically a website inside an app. Come on

Poor Login Functions

Like other reviewers, the app needs to be updated to make for a better login experience. It should not auto log out and at a minimum needs to support FaceID. Can someone please update this app?!

Have to type in Kerberos password each time!

See subject. Dev needs to fix this already.

Please enable Face ID

Logging in each time with Duo is really annoying

Doesn’t remember login

You have to log in every time you use the app and it doesn’t even remember your login, so you have to memorize your username and password. What is the point?!

One of the worst apps I’ve used ever.

Do students make this trash for free? It’s been broken for so long, you can’t even log in more than half the time.

No Face ID, no password auto fill

Cumbersome to use due to long password requirements. Requires allowing app to track you to use certain features like reservations.
Faster to use old style magnetic card for entry than go thru the login process to get to the barcode for the reader

Trash

Totally unnecessary

Unnecessary Login Security

Whenever I go to the gym, I have to log back into the app in order to see the barcode to enter the gym. I’m order to log in, I have to enter my username and password and then double verify on the Duo app. Then I get logged out automatically so I have to repeat this process every time I go to the gym. Please fix this so that I only have to log in once.

Terrible System

This app needs to be reworked. The login system needs to be better streamlined. It should not take as long as it does every single time I use that app/a different portion of it to verify myself. C’mon Davis.

Unnecessary security system

There are other apps that contain far more sensitive information (banking, diary, health data) that have far better systems than to login and 2 factor every single time the app is used. This is a lazy app, and a joke compared to the modernization other schools have to mobile authentication.

Need to log in every time, plus no cookies for Duo

Please fix the log in issue: We do not give phones to other people, so we do not need to log in every time. Just to Face/Finger, or remember password at least.

Thanks.

Great App, needs major fixes.

I like this app, it’s pretty convenient to just have a barcode to sign into the ARC so I don’t have to bring my ID card. However, the app forces you to log in everytime you use it (which then makes you use Duo) and will automatically log you out after 10-15 mins. This is a very unnecessary feature (possibly bug?) since students will be using their phones when they go to the gym, not someone else’s. With both of these issues fixed I’d give 5 stars.
