Good content but app sucks
Really choppy UI, so buggy and laggy.
If I open after a couple of months, the courses show up but not even a single lesson runs without an error. I had to think for myself what is wrong and I realised the auth token might have expired but the app could be showing content from cache. And after logging out and logging back in, it works.
The scroll is horrendous. Lags like hell. Please fix the app performance. Some of these issues are so obvious on first use of the app, I wonder how it passes internal QA release after release.

Should be delisted, no video, pure trash
This app won’t show video and the troubleshooting steps are a joke. Did you update and reboot, please. Courses won’t download. Big fan of Udemy but this app is pure trash and should be delisted, feels like abandonware.
Only some courses show but none load.
Only some of my courses are available and fun the ones that are available, none of these will even load due to errors.
Good but not for phones
I used the website on my pc and it was really good but after logging in to the app on my phone it wouldn’t even register i had a subscription

I would not recommend to anyone. You get courses taken off you because the person who created the corse broken the rules and you have to contact support for a refund for someone else breaking rules. This should be done automatically. Not anyone’s fault other than person who created the course. 1 more thing air play doesn’t work has should on iPhone. It crashes and skips course content all the time

They take material away
I opened the app to get a list of all the trainings I’d done over the last few years (to submit for a certification), and most of the trainings I’d done disappeared one by one. So not only can I not submit them for CPE’s, but I can’t even finish the ones that I hadn’t completed yet.
Lost all course progress
I lost all course progress due to system wide update for that particular course, and now Udemy just recommends starting over. No notification was received of this coming, and no refund allowed.
Also, even more frustrating their app doesn’t have consistent playback.

Doesn’t list all purchased courses in app, can view in laptop.
Poor App
Used to be good app but now I need a course just to find the courses I have purchased and use the downloads. Waste of money.
Terrible Glitches / Terrible Customer Support
The app is constantly crashing and signing me out, plus every month or so it deletes any course I have from my learning list and acts as if it were never purchased. I talked to Customer Service to see if they could fix my issue and they asked ridiculous questions while making me wait multiple days. They also requested I send them the price of everything I purchased and all of the course names. Wish I could rate this company and app below 1 star.

DO NOT BUY A COURSE
Brought a music course from this site and it can be found no where. This company is a rip off.

Cannot see the course content so I don’t even know what section I’m on! Using the website gives you better access to everything you need to navigate Udemy

Totally unusable with the current version on my iPad Pro. The downloads constantly fail, so I’ve had to switch to using Chrome rather than the app.
Search is broken & not all my courses are displaying
For such a premium platform, some basic functions are not working.
Buggy
I would rather Udemy charge a little bit more for courses and invest in improving the app. The main feature I want on with the iOS app is the ability to download and watch courses offline. But, it's completely unreliable - I just downloaded the entire course and it's telling me the content is expired and has to be redownloaded. I do and it still doesn't work.

Doesn’t track well
App doesn’t keep track of progress well, loosing your place in learning and also cannot seem to just continue playing the next video in series smoothly on its own.
Worst UX experience
This is the worst app I’ve ever used! You’re supposed to be able to watch lessons offline, but good luck downloading them.
Downloads fail 9 out of 10 times. And even if you manage to download one, you still can’t watch it offline - you actually need an internet connection just to hit play. It’s the absolute worst UX design ever.

Terrible UI/UX
This has to be one of the worst app ui/ux I’ve ever seen. The ui is not responsive, trying to play a video feels like I’ve been transported back in time to 2008 with how slow and long it takes the video to load up. Please fix your video player and app design overall. Why is it so hard to find the instructors profile while watching the video. Just copy YouTube or something pls.

Buggy, and no way to get help
It makes me sad that this app has such great reviews, because it’s a bad app, with no real support options. I purchased a course that I’m trying to listen to while I drive. Problem is that the app keeps skipping lectures. I tried downloading the lectures on WiFi, to see if that would help, but it made no difference.
I reinstalled the app, and how, only three lectures are showing up (out of hundreds). I let it sit for awhile on fast & reliable WiFi, and it still only shows those three lectures. I uninstalled again, rebooted my phone, and reinstalled. Same issue. I tried going to the help URL they’ve provided, and it’s just unhelpful articles, with no way to submit a ticket or request for support. So now I can’t listen to the course I paid for, and if anything, all they’re going to do is respond to this review saying “please visit our support page”
