Totally unusable with the current version on my iPad Pro. The downloads constantly fail, so I’ve had to switch to using Chrome rather than the app.
Search is broken & not all my courses are displaying
For such a premium platform, some basic functions are not working.

I would rather Udemy charge a little bit more for courses and invest in improving the app. The main feature I want on with the iOS app is the ability to download and watch courses offline. But, it's completely unreliable - I just downloaded the entire course and it's telling me the content is expired and has to be redownloaded. I do and it still doesn't work.

Doesn’t track well
App doesn’t keep track of progress well, loosing your place in learning and also cannot seem to just continue playing the next video in series smoothly on its own.
Worst UX experience
This is the worst app I’ve ever used! You’re supposed to be able to watch lessons offline, but good luck downloading them.
Downloads fail 9 out of 10 times. And even if you manage to download one, you still can’t watch it offline - you actually need an internet connection just to hit play. It’s the absolute worst UX design ever.

Terrible UI/UX
This has to be one of the worst app ui/ux I’ve ever seen. The ui is not responsive, trying to play a video feels like I’ve been transported back in time to 2008 with how slow and long it takes the video to load up. Please fix your video player and app design overall. Why is it so hard to find the instructors profile while watching the video. Just copy YouTube or something pls.

Buggy, and no way to get help
It makes me sad that this app has such great reviews, because it’s a bad app, with no real support options. I purchased a course that I’m trying to listen to while I drive. Problem is that the app keeps skipping lectures. I tried downloading the lectures on WiFi, to see if that would help, but it made no difference.
I reinstalled the app, and how, only three lectures are showing up (out of hundreds). I let it sit for awhile on fast & reliable WiFi, and it still only shows those three lectures. I uninstalled again, rebooted my phone, and reinstalled. Same issue. I tried going to the help URL they’ve provided, and it’s just unhelpful articles, with no way to submit a ticket or request for support. So now I can’t listen to the course I paid for, and if anything, all they’re going to do is respond to this review saying “please visit our support page”

how is this rated so highly?
None of the courses I’ve added to lists or favorited or enrolled in from a browser show up in the app. The search only ever gives me errors. I tried to fill in my recommendations and, after answering the first question, it refused to let me continue as it thought I hadn’t answered the first question.

Terrible Glitchy App
Platform and content is good. App is terrible. I download a course for offline use and it requires an internet connection to verify my credentials so doesn’t work, thus defeating the purpose.

Not much to complain about i always wanted to learn more things courses look a little outdated but at least its not ai slop id rather watch these videos then youtube sometimes

Unusable on iPad
I have a yearly subscription that allows me to take many courses that I would otherwise have to purchase à la carte. This works fine on my desktop browser, but this app doesn’t seem to recognize I am a subscriber and instead wants me to purchase each course individually. I can’t use it on my iPad in this state, which means I lose the convenience of studying on-the-go. Very disappointed.

Ruined the app ads, possibly one of the worst apps on the market now
WARNING: Udemy is now putting ads in courses you PAY for, absolutely disgusting behavior. Also, when I log in it keeps telling me unable to connect, had to update the app and the update brought ads to PAID courses. Will never purchase another course on Udemy again until they stop the ads.
Videos wont play
After watching a video I need to close the app and reopen to get it to play the next one. Also, the sound doesn’t work at times.

Poor quality control and useless support
Do not trust this platform. I used to think Udemy was one of the best options for studying and buying affordable courses, but my experience was a huge disappointment. I purchased a course with very poor audio quality, background noise, and high-pitched sounds that made several lessons hard to understand. Some videos simply do not have the quality you would expect from a paid educational platform. After reading other reviews, I realized I am not the only student complaining about quality issues. It feels like some courses are uploaded without any serious review, and in some cases the instructors and production quality are not at the level students are paying for. The worst part is the customer support. Instead of actually reviewing the problem, they just repeat policies and send generic responses. If you need help because a course has poor quality, do not expect real support. You may end up losing your money. I trusted Udemy because I thought it was a serious platform for learning, but after this experience, I no longer feel safe buying courses here.

4.7 Review average? HOW??
This app is terrible and all the most recent reviews say so and give it low stars. How is this still showing a how average? Udemy is a good service on a web browser but they need to invest in fixing their iOS apps. It’s embarrassing.
Very Poor Quality App
Where do I start? The Udemy app has been poor for years and has put me off using it. It’s slow to navigate through the app, videos load slowly, some videos load without sound, some videos randomly stop playing and I keep getting prompted to review a course which I haven’t finished. I can’t understand why this app hasn’t improved. It simply isn’t fit for purpose.
