Excited but Dissapointed
Update in previous
This app works great when it does but it never lasts, some days you get it to sync no problem then come another day and won’t sync for hours or days for some. It especially doesn't work if you change to a different tracker. Please get it to work right once and for all! Follow-up: spoke to UHC motion customer service, they could not figure out why I couldn’t sync after over an hour on the phone. They sent my issue to their resolution dept, which I honestly don’t think it will help. I’m having the same issues as a lot of people on here, won’t sync on demand only syncs if I sign out and sign in sometimes, other times I have to sign out and uninstall the app and reinstall the it might sync. So frustrating, I have the Apple Watch 9 series. Also, my intensity will come through after a 30 min workout but nothing else until I do the steps mentioned above. Please please app de developers fix this.

Doesn’t work most of the time
Likely a “feature not a bug situation” since it’s costs me $28 a month in lost benefits, yet they still get to harvest my data. I doubt I’ll be keeping it much longer.
If you have Apple Watch, don’t bother
The Frequency goal itself is problematic because I can be on my feet all day, walk over 12k steps, and not hit a single frequency walk because I haven’t done 300 steps in 5 minutes spaced an hour apart. Clearly designed for folks sitting at a desk, not those trying to be truly active throughout the day.
I recommend UHC throw the whole watch app away and just utilize the tracking data from Apple directly. My activity app already tracks steps, frequency, workouts, etc, and I already had to agree to share that data to use the Motion phone app, so why add this useless layer of bugs on top?
Absolutely terrible
Supposedly you can earn $3 a day by using this app and completing your steps daily. THE PROBLEM is that to earn those rewards the app has to actually sync with a limited kind of compatible trackers (Garmin is on the list, but not MY style of Garmin watch, even though you use the same Connect app regardless of which Garmin product you have), OR the health app. And as noted previously with all things UHC, their benefits don’t go beyond saying that they exist- as in, you can’t actually use the benefits because the tools they provide DONT WORK. The app lags severely in syncing and therefore your steps are not accurately added and therefore NO BENEFIT FOR YOU.
Even after doing more than double steps for frequency and syncing immediately after it continues to say “next frequency walk “now.” “ I was excited that UHC offered this program but it’s obviously for appearances only. Doesn’t work at all.

Issue with latest update
Apple Watch experience is poor
The issues with syncing persisted, and I was frustrated that I had to use other apps to signify a fitness event, so I stopped using the app for a few months.
I began using the app once again in November, knowing its limitations. The app updated in December, and became unreliable with my Apple watch. My watch would indicated I had reached the frequency or intensity goal, but when synced to my phone, I discovered the objective had not been satisfied.
This would not be frustrating if the app synced properly. This app will not sync for 24-48 hours at times. During one 24+ hour period of the app not syncing, I tried closing app, restarting phone and watch, uninstalling app and none of that resolved the sync issue.
Please fix the issue with the Apple watch incorrectly showing goal has completed, and I implore the developers to find a way to make syncing better.
Frustrating and demotivating
Before this latest nightmare, when it would sync, watch and iPhone often said different things! Sometimes lately the F would suddenly fill up even though I hadn’t done 6 walks. After syncing the phone would show actual count but watch would stay wrong the rest of the day. This meant you wouldn’t get walk reminders. App seems to be disintegrating before my eyes.
Concept is great and it has changed my walking behavior but all that will be lost if it only offers buggy frustrations. Especially when these bugs steal money from me by not counting my walks. For some reason class-action comes to mind.
Poor Step Tracker, Makes getting the daily goals unrealistic.
Inconsistent and inaccurate data with Apple Watch
The data is wildly inconsistent, and I can see no
pattern. It misses workouts, it captures step totals that aren’t even close to what’s on Apple health.
The biggest complaint other than it doesn’t track accurately is that the only way to meet goals is to walk 10k steps a day. I don’t walk or run 10k steps most days. Some days I ride 15 miles, other days it’s HIIT for an hour.
The ability to measure and reward the right fitness behavior is missing. Having healthy customers drives down claims. Maybe expand what “counts” towards goals beyond just walking 10k steps a day. (None of my business, but what’s the answer if you’re in a wheel chair?)
For context, I run bike and do core training 5-6 days a week, and have used Apple Watch and Runkeeper to track fitness goals for close to ten years. I’m not new to cross-platform fitness tracking. This app just doesn’t work, which prevents me from my company’s contribution to my HSA account.
Please fix the interface and expand the ability to track other than steps.
Doesn’t work
But don’t worry, keeping track of the progress doesn’t really matter because you can’t sync with you phone anyway. I downloaded the app last week and it still hasn’t allowed me to sync. I get multiple notifications each day to sync, I try to sync, and yet it doesn’t work.
Don’t expect to get any HSA contributions using this app. Just be prepared to be frustrated.
Needs a complete design overhaul
With that, the phone doesn’t need to see the watch directly because all the data it may need is directly available to it in Apple Health, of course they didn’t simply just use that. It would make too much sense.
I understand needing to open the app on the phone or watch daily (or every few days) is required to sync data with UHC. Fine, let’s do that, but re-write this app from the ground up. There’s no reason why any of this should be so troublesome.
I can’t speak for non-Apple Watch fitness trackers, but this app is pretty bad in my experience. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of one is because it works only after opening and closing the app enough to get it to sync.
Getting upset with this app
Worst app on my phone
A long way to go
Also get tons of error notifications and earnings info isn’t consistent across different pages. Hopefully they continue to work on this because it’s not super reliable right now which is a big deal when over a thousand dollars a year is on the line
Cool program, buggy app
First, the step counts don’t update in anything close to real time. When I first got the app they updated roughly once per minute, and now a couple updates later, it seems totally random. So you can no longer use the watch app to track your steps as you go, instead you have to just guesstimate your steps and hope your count matches what the app says 5 minutes later.
You also have to manually sync the watch and phone apps daily in order to get the promised rewards for your activity. But there’s no real clear UI for performing a manual sync. You just have to open both the watch and phone apps simultaneously and then leave them both open for anywhere from a couple seconds to several minutes while you wait for the “automatic” sync process to start. And even then, there’s no promise your recorded steps will sync properly and attribute the rewards to your account.
Sometimes after a sync of just throws up a message saying it’s taking longer than usual to convert your activity to FIT goals, but that no action is needed on your part. After that it’s like a 50/50 shot whether it’s going to eventually record your achieved goals or not.

Good idea-poor application
I recently called and was told that Apple Watches and Fitbits are really the only devices that work well. Thus I’m here to read reviews and feel like Apple Watches have the same issues.
As I'm writing this, I just “eclipsed 10,000 steps”, while my device has 17,332….literally every single day…but I get my FIT every purely because you owe it to me.
