Top reviews

actually a good app

i really don’t get all the negative reviews on this app, i wish i had this app on my recent weekends away across the UK, the hidden gems are actually really good and the car parking spots are super useful! would reccomend this app to any young couples who love adventuring and weekends away - me and my boyfriend love it!

Empty map

There’s just hardly any hikes on the map peak district is empty

Most aren’t hidden, a lot aren’t gems either

Most of the POI aren’t hidden, for instance Derwent Water and Blencathra. Whilst there may be some special places most are the tourist traps the apps blurb says this will help you avoid.

Nice idea, poor content

Takes your money and now not working

Paid for the app on Friday and used it for the day . Very disappointed to what it offers. Seems to be a glorified carpark finder.
Sunday went to use the app and now it does not work. !!!! Cannot load it.

Not much on there

Not really a lot to look at mostly just places to eat.

Not a lot on it.

Mostly Restaurant ads not many hidden gems.

Warning - App free, but subscription needed.

Nice idea, but I can get the same by researching things on Google for free. The fact that this involves a monthly or yearly subscription should be made clear to save downloading the app and finding out the first time you open it. Yes you get a few free ideas the first time, but given that the majority of these involve a trek of 100 miles or more, they’re not actually much use to me on a daily basis.
Okay for some, but not for me I’m afraid.

meh

cheap monthly subscription but not worth it tbh. i’ve seen more “hidden gems” myself than i have with this app.

App keeps crashing! Please update as I’ve paid for it

App keeps crashing on my iPhone 16 Pro with latest iOS. Half way to my destination and now can’t get directions.

Poor format

Needs a lot of work. Doesn’t give you much information on these hidden gems and seems to be more about what food and type is in the area. Lacks pictures, descriptions, instruction or recommendations. Was hoping to find detailed paths and how to get to places. I feel conned of £4.99 as it’s no help at all and I have deleted it within 10 minutes of purchasing it

Great app

Love the app, would be nice to add missing locations or at least submit them for review as I visit many structures that are not listed in the app.

Doesn’t work

The app doesn’t open, the support button on the app store takes you to a webpage that doesn’t work, I want my money back!

Not worth at all !

You can find all these gems on Google maps - Nothing hidden here . Also not much - Very overpriced

Very well hidden gems

The gems on UK hidden gems are so hidden they don’t even appear on the app. Kinda pointless.

Was good

It was good and found some amazing places with it but the app keeps crashing have paid for the subscription but app keeps crashing now

More like hidden from the blind gems

In the north east of england there is absolutely zero time take into it. all they labelled really is common castles and beaches and called it a day. don’t waste your time and money into this app. might not be bad elsewhere but if you’re from the north east ZERO point in this app. zero care from them

it didn’t live up to the expectations set by the advertising.

I came across the ads online and decided to give the app a try. I downloaded it and even paid for the subscription, but to be honest, it didn’t live up to the expectations set by the advertising.

There aren’t enough places listed, especially in the Midlands, and most locations only have a single image, which isn’t very helpful. It feels like the app is still missing a lot of the “gems” it promises.

In comparison, I’ve found Atlas Obscura (a free app) to offer a much wider range of interesting places to explore.

Sadly, I’ve had to cancel my subscription for now. I hope future updates bring more content and improvements—there’s potential here, but it needs more work.

Requires payment and monthly subscription to use the app

After downloading, it asks for monthly subscription of £4 to use the app. Why not put this upfront on App Store so people know it’s not free before downloading?

Where’s the hidden gems 🤣

Very sparse, I could make something better myself! Barely any gems!

Poor

Map doesn’t always load with locations. If you accidentally tick a location as visited, you are unable to un tick. Search near me flaky. Little to no information on the location.
