No free exploration
I have played numerous Alchemy games before Ultimate Alchemy (UA) was created. The thing UA lacks is the free exploration of the elements. Instead there are a set few targets each level and any combination that doesn’t produce anything or the target element, a life is lost. Other Alchemy games allow leisure experimental combining without penalty which, I feel, encourages players to relax and focus on the fun of exploring which elements mix, whether through logic or seeing what sticks.
