Top reviews

Just “Okay”

The graphics, sounds, and attention to detail are nice. What sucks is essentially the AI will just throw everything at you when offense, causing your men to break. On defense, it takes forever to make even the worst units break.

Awesome

Awesomeness me

Evil

I was so close to beating the level and then the enemy charged into my territory and I lost please make it possible to play

5 stars might not be enough

Simple, very accurate, and very fun. No notes

Too small

Thanks for wasting my money everyone with the good reviews. I suppose it could be a good game but it’s way too small on an iPhone and you can’t zoom in enough. Very frustrating.

Good game

Need to develop games for Chancellorsville, Petersburg et al.

Pretty good

It’s a good game but pretty hard to play beginner strategy players should not get it but experts should pretty fun but needs a sandbox mode for custom battles

Sehr gut.

Blut Schweiss und Tränen

The best

Still the best game about civil war in the AppStore

Great game

The game is great tho commanding troops could be a little better.

Fun game!

Great fun! Great graphics! Accurate too!

FreePlay option

This is a fantastic game. I have had lots of fun playing it. Is there a chance for an update for a free play option? No timelines just try to kill or capture the enemy wherever they are.

Horrible and glitchy

AI is absolute trash in this game. The soldiers will be in range and not fire half the time. The cannons constantly do not reload when again they have a target and are in range. The ‘map’ feature shows you absolutely no indication about cover just vague ‘height’ that provides no clear indication for actual coverage.

iPhone screen to damn small

Just bought this. Why doesn’t this game take up the whole damn screen on the iPhone? Pretty small and hard to see and play

Simple just gets things done.

Game is very simple, I don’t find myself fighting with the camera so much like in total war titles. Strategy is still there and the sound design is cool hearing the muskets being fired from top down view and the roars of your men. Overall a really solid mobile strategy game.

Seventh florida

Ok so I am a huge civil war history buff and love this game. The graphics are a 8 out of ten. The way you handle it 10 out of ten. The only thing that kinda annoys me is that the troops go over the house unlike the computer version of this game.( that has multiple different battles.) and also after a while it gets fairly boring and repetitive. So In conclusion, it’s a pretty good game. Also please make a new mode where you can name the brigades like in the computer version. And even possibly a brand new campaign that has the battle of chanslersville and the events leading up to Gettysburg.

Not meant for phone

It is impossible to read anything in this game on a phone. It’s also windowed somehow and not using all the screen space.

This company is known for abandoning its games on steam and leaving them a mess.

Battles Are Far Too Short

The game is great. Almost. The problem I have is that the game always abruptly ends just when it’s getting good. I have my forces arranged perfectly for battle … the enemy closes in … they prepare to clash and … game over.

The egg timer ending is really bizarre, as it ends regardless of what’s happening in game. Even if guy gave one brigade left, and the enemy has 20, as long as you hold the point at a particular time, even if you are preparing to lose it, you will win the game. And vice versa.

Suffice to say, no battle in history has ever been determined like this, and the PC version of the game does not have this ultra-short egg timer battle system.

I get that it’s mobile, but I play on a 12.9” iPad which is every bit as capable as the PC, so I wish the devs would let us actually play instead of having these stripped down battles that you can use to time a hard boiled egg with.

They gimped a game that had awesome potential on the iPad, and they artificially crippled it for really no reason. The limits actually serve not one purpose. I cannot figure out why they are always so desperate to end the game … NOW! Hurry, time is almost up … hurry hurry hurry the eggs are almost ready! When the timer dings, that is it, when you hear the bell, all soldiers freeze where you are! You’ve taken your last shot! You know just like civil war battles really were!

Is a great game and if you don’t mind frequent battle inturruptus, and if you enjoy frustration that can only be had with a beat-the-clock vibe coupled with ultra-slow brigade movement.

FWIW, the game is static. They aren’t updating it anymore. Last update was 8 years ago so what you see is all you will ever get.

The PC version is good though. This one is only good if you are waiting for your eggs to cook.

At least they won’t be over-cooked!

Excellent

Ce jeu me rappelle Gettysburg de Sid Meier.
L’IA est plutôt bonne.
Il ne manque que les batailles online pour qu’il soit parfait.
Merci aux créateurs 👍

No longer works

This game no longer works with the latest iOS version. Was an excellent tactical mobile before. Very sad.
