Terrible search feature
After all these years it is surprising that searching a song name still fails to bring up the correct song in either the global tabs or my own collection. Come on. It's 2026, you've had enough time to work this out rather than thinking of daft ways to turn this into a subscription service.
Won’t work with page turner
It’s a decent app as far as tab and chord apps go, except for th fact that it useless live because it won’t work with a page turner pedal!! So I gotta take a hand off my bass to scroll down? Gotta wait for a rest or open string? Then when messing with the setting it disables my keyboard but leaves it on ready to I when I go into settings I can’t click the button to turn the airtime support setting off so my keyboard will work again so I ultimately have to uninstall UG and reinstall. Stupid! Please fix this and fix it permanently.
Also everything it updates I have to answer 20 questions about my skill level and music tastes. Just open I’m a working musician I don’t need to be babied like a newbie

Pro access
I love this app and I use it almost every day. I have never not been able to find a reliable version of a song for free. There are a lot of ads that are UG related; no foreign ads. There only problem is that I don’t really want to pay at all, just because of how complicated it would be to send money. If there could be less ads about upgrading to pro, that would be amazing! Otherwise, awesome app!

Uninstalled almost immediately, can barely navigate the app without being constantly barraged by ads and pop ups for their overpriced subscription.

Overall a really great place to find almost all of the tabs you could ever want! I had some problems uploading shots and the tech could use a few updates but still a great app.

Horrible without pro
Genuinely unusable unless you have a pro subscription. Some songs are paywalled, half the tabs are locked behind pro, and half the features are also unusable without pro.

I love this it has my fav songs that I can learn with the three instruments I have and it makes me want to learn more about my instrument and how to play it it’s makes it fun when you learn something new!!! Love it and if you’re reading this, and you haven’t downloaded this, you should!!
DO NOT BUY/ SCAM!
It offered me a 7-day free trial if I selected the yearly charge plan for after the 7days- so I did and it immediately took over $105 out of my account without even 5mins of a free trial that they claimed was 7 days. Now dealing with bank/ apple to report them and get my money back for false advertising and scamming. BEWARE!!!!
Also half of the songs aren’t even correct because they are composed by randoms and not the original composers of the songs. They are re-writes. Garbage app and garbage company.

too much $$$ and Ads
I used to use this app for years and loved it. 25$ for the year wasn’t bad and it was a very useful app 5 years ago. Fast forward to now I find now unless your willing to pay 50$ or more. you are stuck with millions of ads, no option to transpose or auto scroll which they advertise heavily. Or you can pay 5$ to have auto scroll but still have a million ads that will stop you mid song, frustrating to someone who already knows how to play, couldn’t imagine how annoyed I’d be if I was trying to learn from this app :/

300% Subscription Renewal Increase!
Look out for unsuspecting price hikes upon your annual renewal. I signed up for $24.99 and it renewed at $99.99. $300 later, I finally discovered this, since my subscription was under my kid’s email… I don’t appreciate business models that have a 300% price-hike renewal policy. They obviously care less about building a product that retains a returning customer base. Find a different service! Ultimate Guitar tabs is not worth the $$!

Free tabs have never been this much hassle
Endlessly bombarded with ads when using the app, to the point that it’s almost funny. They continue even if you make a purchases within the app.
Problems and glitches
I love this app!! But there is a lot of problems and glitches! I don’t get notifications when someone Dms me! Please fix this! This app can improve if we can call, FaceTime, or send pic to our users so we can talk and give feedback and advice. Please fix this.
