Strict tab reviewers all of a sudden
There are many badly written tabs on this app yet once you enter a more accurate one they nit pick your stuff LOL.

Cannot even load the tabs without being pushed to pay for 'pro' or whatever. Better you just use the website even on mobile.
The tabs and everything are still on there but I am not paying for a subscription when I'm a dude who uses a $30 guitar.

I could not find anybody on this site to help me and I was paying $24.99 for a subscription and could not in any way she perform utilize the site, it was paid through my Apple subscription. I spoke to somebody through here and they said it was all cleared up, but apparently it wasn’t so I just cancelled it because I’m not paying for something I Don’t get to use

i used to love this app. used it primarily for tuning guitar and ukulele but occasionally looked up tabs. redownloaded it today, was forced to sign up and then go through an unskippable data grab, only to be told i could use the app for a 7 day trial. no option to skip pro+ and just use the damn tuner. and then i saw all the AI instructor bs. just stop.

This app forces you into surveys and literally scratch offs. The app is great. But whoever added these features should be fired. I try to open the app to show a friend and it’s 4 minutes of going through surveys to “personalize the experience” and then a scratch off? Is this a casino app? Just don’t need it. The app is great to navigate without it

I Paid for Ad Free But you keep advertising
I paid for UG Pro but every time i open the app I have to click through a 5 page ad for some further subscription in the app, I shouldn’t have to see your ads if I paid to make the app ad free, especially one that you make as hard to skip through as possible.

I really enjoy like it’s amazing and it’s helped me learn some amazing songs BUT you have to have a subscription for some song I want to play and I find it quite annoying because I don’t really want to pay for a subscription
FIX YOUR APP. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR
Fix your app. No reason my backing track on pro tabs should constantly go out of sync. It’s been fine for years and now all of the sudden it constantly messes up. That combined with multiple other things makes me start to question this app.

MISERABLE TO USE
Dreadful. Can’t use the website on mobile browser (very minimal functionality) and forced to use app. App virtually unusable with constant upsell to the premium subscription. Your product is user generated/submitted tabs, get a grip. I hate this. The tactic is to make the user experience so miserable that users must shell out for premium and can’t even access the most basic features without paying. Why do you hate your users?

Frequent upselling
The tabs are great. The frequent surveys that upsell their products are frustrating and detract from their product. If I pay for an app, I don’t want to be forced to answer survey questions before I can use it.

I don’t have money to pay for premium and it feels like you need premium to do anything, but what you can do without it is still enough
disappointed
I used to use this app and website all the time and it has helped me so much to learn guitar and play the songs i love, but after recently logging back on, I am really disappointed and saddened to find that the simplify and transpose features have been locked behind the membership paywall. those features made it possible for me to learn songs that i couldnt play in their orignal key. locking those features just makes it so much harder for beginners and learners to play more songs. 😔

Lost their way
I remember using UG back in the day, 15 years ago now probably. Back then it was an easy to use platform, the formula didn’t really need to change. It almost felt like music tabs had been democratised when I first found it. Everyone could enjoy music and learn songs, it was an educational tool that probably taught so many people to play. I’m not so sure now, they seem driven by profit only, the adverts are relentless. I purchased UG many years ago (and UG tools - which I think was their tuner) - I’ve restored purchases but they still harass me constantly and I’m not even sure where the UG tuner app went.
Maybe I’m being a ‘Karen’ here, but when I pay for something, like, let’s say a capo, you expect to be able to use it forever…
I get they need to stay profitable to stay running but come on lads that was never the point of the site/app was it? Get back to your original purpose…
