Customer service and money grab

I purchased a product in game and never received the product. I have emailed them 3 times and no response. Just terrible. BUYER BEWARE.

Great Potential

I have played hockey, college basketball, basketball, soccer, football and college football versions of these ultimate gm games that you guys produce. They are fun and I really do enjoy them. I have really struggled with this one, as I feel this one more than rest forces you to rely on spending real money so that you don’t waste 20 seasons building up your devastated franchise. By the time you resign your coaches, and players with the huge bonuses that you can’t change for the players your franchise has no money left over. Leaving you with no capability to upgrade facilities and even attempt to progress as a franchise.

I love hockey and I love these games, but this one has almost become unplayable due to not being able to alter how much each player gets in bonuses for signing their contracts.

Needs update

This game has so much potential but needs an update. Needs better ways to make money and more balanced teams. Is there an update coming?

Maybe a little too much

This game is way harder than the football version. Maybe consider that 30 win Mark maybe bringing it down to 25 or something like that.

Trading

This game is a great game but there are a few problems. 1. Trading: I don’t know if this is just me but for some reason I traded like three times in the season and they didn’t give me anything but I still lost everything I gave away so please fix that.
2. The balance between player teams and AI teams: it is so hard in this game to even get past an 86 overall mostly because the chemistry but let’s say you even get to like a 90 overall you’ll still get beat by worst teams because of their gear.
3. Goalies: so I got a 90 overall goalie and free agency so I was really happy because I’m like I’m not gonna give up as many goals as I used to actually I’m apparently giving up more and I’m giving up 15 goals a game with a 90 overall goalie, so please fix the goalies.

Good, but not great

CPU teams are insanely good like 1-3 losses for the whole season good. And they do not follow the salary cap. Had a 100mil cap and all the best teams were $150 mil or more.
Fix that and it’s a good game.
Different from the football one as the players have longer careers.
Also the CPU has insane development points.
Can only match if you spend money. A little too much of a money grab.
Pretty much have to spend money to compete with an average, below, or terrible team to start.

Almost 5 stars…

There is a glitch in the game, when you are on power play or penalty kill, the players that are not starters on your team are used in these scenarios. They are the worst players on the team and it ruins the game. Please fix this…

I have waited months for the fix. I have spent money and maxed out arena and still get negative attendance that uses up all the cash.

I want to like it but…

The financial aspect of the game is broken. You cannot succeed financially at all and I’ve tried numerous times. The costs of everything is so high it empties your bank account and you make barely anything on ticket sales. Seems like a cash grab to get you to purchase more.

Hi Justin, thanks for your feedback. You can build a great franchise without making any purchases, rest assured. To have your finances in order, make sure you always meet goals you set at the beginning of the seasons with the owner. Otherwise, you will definitely encounter financial issues. When you start - upgrade only facilities you absolute require to further improve your team.

I enjoy this game a lot but

My qualm with this game more than any other is balancing of the AI teams. I’ve played I don’t know how many seasons in this game, spend countless time crafting the perfect team of players under the cap with chemistry of 90+ overall of 95+ with no gear, coaching styles all matched, just to eventually be beat by worse teams with less chemistry and talent just because they are able to have gear that gives the 10 attribute points all across the spectrum for every player. Meanwhile best we can do is 3 attribute points for 5-6 attributes, without paying for the 5, which is still half of the AI gear.
It’s a sly way to go about the game and move people into paying for gear which probably wouldn’t help a whole lot anyway. No reason a team that is less talented by a long shot should be able to immediately bump each player’s attributes across the board by 10. It’s sneaky, and quite ridiculous.
The most the AI should have is the max of what we have of 5.

Great game, 1 fix.

I really enjoy this game and I have almost all the other manager game made by this company. Definitely some of my favorite games I’ve ever played. However, I have 1 fix that I’d like to point out. Whenever you try to edit lines or move a player to a different line, it causes the players on the bench to start getting minutes in the game. Any adjustment from the auto lines means that you will have 6 different lines all playing. This can be somewhat annoying when trying to maximize points and build the best lines and team.

Good, could be improved

Fun game. Worth the 5$. Best teams in the league are way overpowered. Also no RFAs so you can lose a drafted player when he gets 21.

Has potential but too way hard to win, you either get fired or run out of money in the first two season, also way too much going on in terms of stats/mood and strategies with staff and such, needs to be cleaned up and simplified. The framework for a fantastic game is there, just needs work.

Good game

It’s a very good complex management game with a good learning curve and considerable forethought required with one minor issue that it is annoying to play without paying for premium and quite a lot of convenience and gameplay features are stuck behind a paywall.

Best Hockey GM game…BUT

This game is waaaay too hard. You can do everything right based on other hockey GM games and get fired in 2031 over and over and over again. You either run out of money or your team isn’t good enough. Unless you want to pay to succeed, stay away. Such amazing potential as it’s organized very well. But…
