No longer works after apple update.
After Apples latest update in February 2026 the app no longer works. It was always sketchy though. I’d move on to another system.
Low-res, but still works after 9 years!
The Uniden Guardian 2 system came with just 2 low-resolution cameras (320x240), but it still works after 9 years (I bought it in 2014), and works more reliably than newer high-resolution systems I have.
However, the Uniden app has disappeared from the Android App Store, and I have only been able to use it on Android devices by transferring the app via Samsung “Smart Switch”, so Android users beware.

Need to update
The system stopped working for some time. When is this going to be fixed?
Works perfect but Junk now!
The cameras work great but due to obsolescence it’s heading to the city dump. Uniden could care less about actually doing required updates and keeping customers happy, but to insist you keep upgrading to a while new camera system. I will never give them my business again and definitely won’t recommend to others. I’m tired of buying new equipment every 4 years.

App stopped working about a year ago. No updates in 3yrs. I really liked being able to check on the house through the app when not at home. Please make the app functional again!

Don’t waste your money!
Take your money elsewhere and do not waste your money on their products. Their products become obsolete due to their lack of updating the apps. I am unable to use my cameras because they failed to provide updates. Just terrible.

Corporations that want up to purchase there very costly products then fail to give there consumers Adequate updates and continued support. I have a two sets of these G955 at first it was great and then the fixes that kept coming in kept getting worse with the latest update on ios 12 date 2-20 with my device it rendered the email notifications useless I'm one who worry about throwing away items that function and filling our landfills with toxic garbage Im refusing to support companies in the future who operate in this manner security cameras shouldn't need to be thrown out because of age if they work but the company's who fall short on the support on there products should pay a huge environmental tax imo just because they want us to upgrade and they will do the same thing with there next product 🥺 it worked great now it don't it's not because of the hardware they make software to render it useless 🥺😩

Downloaded the latest version and all my settings were gone. I was initially pleased when it asked to send me notifications, which it hasn’t done for most of a year, but then I discovered I’d lost all the connection details to my cameras! It’s going to be a problem to get those details, so I am unimpressed.
To make matters worse, I clicked on the support link in the App Store and got “file not found”. Like, are the developers trying to piss off their customers? I’ve already been thinking for a while of scrapping the camera and buying something homekit compatible.
Addendum: Notifications are working again. Connection setting reset. The iPad version is problematic (poorly layout, controls are not always on the screen) but now I can get around the problems to have a functional camera that has lasted three years already.

App hardly ever works. Hardware monitor needs constant resetting.

Please fix this app so I can view all cameras. Very frustrating when you have four cameras and this app will only let you view camera 1

The only reason this app rates above 1 (0 really) is because of the old reviews, before the app was "updated". It's pure junk and doesn't work. Uniden's reputation is not what it once was. Don't buy Uniden.

Worst app experience ever
I usually don’t write reviews, but OMG, this app is horrible. Half the point of having a connected camera system is to view the cameras remotely. This app, and all versions of the Guardian apps before it have been so bad they’re totally unusable. I can’t imagine a modern company the size of Uniden not investing more resources in app development. Putting a product out that’s this bad is inexcusable, especially when there are so many smaller companies that have zero issues making video surveillance apps that work.
