One design flaw

I love the possibility to open my door(s) via smartphone, but there is one thing that would make everything so much more convenient:
Adding a widget to home or lockscreen for easy door access.

It should be a nobrainer to implement this feature and I don’t get, why it isn’t implemented yet

It works well but is missing one very important point

Come on this need to work with car play, as you approach your gate it should come up on the screen so you can open the gate.. hurry up and add this small detail

garbage just like the rest of the ubiquiti suite, promising more than it was ever made to handle. This particular app is just here to make you wait and wait and wait for it to respond to you telling it to unlock doors, great job y’all! the web panel is even worse somehow

Use the app for our office and have started using it to control areas around our home and home office, including garages. Still working out how to tie into Protect, but an amazing ecosystem.

Slow to reconnect

Everytime you launch the app it takes 10 seconds to reconnect.

Could you let us know if the long connection time is happening when the phone is on the same local network or is it happening when you are using outside network such as phone's data plan? If you encounter this issue when you are on the same network as the Access devices, please create a support ticket at account.ui.com/requests and share with us the support file from the Access app.

Access Evolution

We adopted UniFi Access very early and initially it had lots of little bugs that we had to put up with. We contacted UniFi and listed the issues, their developer team got involved and actively addressed the issues. Im glad to see that even thought we arnt in contact with UniFi developers, that the software is constantly being improved .

Doesn’t work

Can’t get access to the app, very complicated, says password is wrong but password reset does nothing. We run an IT company so should not be this hard.

Hi, UniFi Access app uses UI Account, this is the same across most of the UI mobile apps. If you can't log into the UI Account that are added to the UniFi Console as the admin, you will need to use password recovery methods available to you to regain the access to the account in order for you to log in. For admins, you can always create local admin account by using Restrict to Local Access Only when creating the admin on your UniFi Console. The local admin account will be fully managed by you and can be used to log into the console locally when the phone is on the same network. For remote access, since that rely on the UniFi Site Manager service, UI Account is required. If one of the user can't remember their password and can't use any of the password recovery method, we suggest creating a new UI Account and use that account going forward. If you have more questions, feel free to get in touch with us by creating a ticket at account.ui.com/requests.

Feature needed

Gate hubs need a hold-open feature. Right now, EMERGENCY Evacuation is the only way to hold a gate open, but EMG Evacuation opens every single gate.

Each gate needs the ability to hold open - indefinitely and on a timer.
