This app not working properly please fix or have a way for people to connect with you when they have an issue.
Waste of time!
I was very pleased to find this site and didn't hesitate to download and apply it immediately. At first, I made a mistake by stating I was Ethiopian by nationality, which I am at heart but not on paper. Sadly, I got stuck when they asked me to submit an Ethiopian ID, the only option in the drop-down menu. I contacted them via WhatsApp but never received a response. I tried to resolve the issue myself, but there was no way. After waiting many days, I deleted my account to create a new one. This frustrating app keeps asking me to reset my password, but it never works. When I tried to create a new account, it recognized my phone and email, which I can not use to create a new one. Well, a waste of time, and I deleted the app.

Stuck in authentication
I have tried to authenticate my phone multiple times with no code received. I hope this is an easy fix.
It does not work
After completing all sections, including the video and electronic signatures, the final step only offers digital ID (FAN and FIN) as an option. I’m in the US and can only provide an Ethiopian Yellow Card ID or a US passport. No options for those. Please fix this!
Can’t make a account
I’ve been attempting to make an account but the verification code won’t work!
Not even able to create account
I rated it three stars because, if I may speak on behalf of a diaspora, it's a commendable initiative. However, despite multiple attempts to create an account, I cannot receive a verification code. It’s pretty concerning to think about the disappointment and frustration I would feel if I lost access after finally opening an account, especially after depositing a significant amount of money.

Good start
Update :10/11 after countless attempts to complete the application I finally was able to submit an application, but the application is now stuck “in revision “ status and it says a review has requested additional information, check your email. But there is no email. And support is horrible they don’t respond. So basically doesn’t accomplish anything. It might be faster to send power of attorney to someone at hime and open account for you.

The app has a great intention but falls short in execution. It frequently freezes, and after multiple attempts to complete a bank account application, I had to give up. The development team needs to collect user feedback, fix bugs, and improve overall stability to make this app usable.

Lack of Human Contact
Picture other nations being proactive in seeking change, yet here in our beloved Ethiopia, there seems to be a reluctance to address the ongoing customer service issues. This application was created with the intention of simplifying processes, but unfortunately, the individuals providing the service seem to be lacking in professionalism and control. Despite my efforts to engage with the system, I received incredibly poor service from the bank I selected. I strongly advise against it.

Tried the app from the US but it works only with +251 phone numbers which I don’t have. Can this be addressed as this is meant for the diasporas? Tnx

Ground breaking app
I always desired to have both the policy and the capability to operate in the financial sector in Ethiopia, especially banking. Wow, Ethiopia is finally delivering both of these! So my rating of this app is a response not only to the app but also to the new policy - I see them as a package. I would have rated it 5 but I could not create my account because the sign up form has an Ethiopian phone number as a required field. That is a blocker and I usually rate this type of blunder very seriously. I was lenient because, as I said earlier, I see this app as an app and an embodiment of the new financial policy, i.e., as a package.
