Your updates keep making it worse

I’ve been using this app as a replacement for the garbage app developed by Unsit, it was working great when it was not a subscription and just seemed to work. Now you’ve incorporated games, levels, tokens but all I want is an app that tracks my steps while I’m using the treadmill.

Now there are constant disconnects, I’ll be walking and get notified my session has finished. To get it counting again I have to close the app, restart to reconnect.

I’ve also done something that broke the My Step tab, can’t see it now while I’m using the treadmill, it looks like it wants to scroll up but doesn’t move.

Either way, note that I’m paying for the app it does less for me than it did when it was free.

Please, stop breaking the app!!! Do some testing before you push updates. If your app dev process continues the way it has been, I’ll be dropping the app.

Just go back to wearing my spare sole watch in my shoe…at least that is free!!

Response from developer

Thanks for sticking with us and for the honest feedback. You're right that the app should just work. We're actively working on a fix. In the meantime, if you have an Apple Watch you can connect your treadmill to the watch and start tracking there while we resolve this issue. Be sure to disconnect from your phone first before connecting on the watch. Please use 1.3.3 we have fixed the issue

Useless like the Original

Completely useless like the original Unsit app. Always disconnects and stops counting steps when app is in background. Ridiculous that you get charged $2.99 for the same problem the original app has. You get all these problems for free in the Unsit app. Not worth one cent.

Response from developer

To clarify, the app doesn’t stop recording when it goes to the background. Your session continues running even if the Live Activity on your lock screen stops updating. This is a display issue, not a disconnect. Version 1.2.2 is now available and specifically addresses the Live Activity problem. Unlike the Unsit app, UnStationary is actively maintained and improved. Try 1.2.2, and if you still encounter issues, you can report them directly from the Support section of the app. We’ll be happy to help you.

Requires paid subscription to undercount your steps now

Will be uninstalling because the app now requires a paid subscription to use it. It has always undercounted my steps by almost 50% (try counting manually and compare your numbers!) and would sometimes stop counting/disconnect entirely, but I was content to just deal with it because the UI was nicer than the official Unsit app. I wouldn’t spend money on this app as is though so I will not be continuing to use it 👎🏼

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify, UnStationary doesn't calculate or modify step counts on its own. The numbers you see come directly from your treadmill's hardware. If they seem off, that's a calibration issue on the machine's end, not the app. That said, we do have a Step Smoother toggle in the settings that can help with inconsistent readings. If you haven't tried it, it's worth turning on before comparing numbers. The disconnect issue is something we take seriously and continue to improve. Please reach out to us at admin@mfxstudios.com. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue. We're sorry the subscription wasn't the right fit for you.

Now requires subscription

This app has worked pretty well for me, but now requires a subscription which I’m unable to purchase due to a “subscription unavailable” error.

Actually works!

An app for my Unsit treadmill that (seems to) connect seamlessly and actually count my steps.

Works better than the official app (so far)

Thank you!
