Storage Leak Issue
Worked great for awhile. Sure, the ads were annoying, and the pop up when playing a video wasn’t great, but was probably a 3.8-ish star app overall…
Until I encountered an issue.
I had filled my IPAD storage up with a lot of files in the unzip folder. No biggie, I’ll delete some. It’s tricky to do, but I was able to do it. The in-app delete function works pretty well (and yes I did empty the trash).
But I made the mistake of sorting the rest of the files, and encountered a severe issue.
I used the in-app cut and paste function to move files between folders. Somehow, someway, this filled up my storage space again, without adding any additional files (outside of a couple named folders).
Cut shouldn’t do this. It should replicate the files in 1 location and then delete them in the original. It does look like they are deleted in the original. So where the hell did my storage space go? I want my storage back!
Rebooting the IPad did not fix these problems.
EDIT: after more testing deleting files may have also been causing issues too, with file size increasing after doing it. I made some room on my iPad and moved every file out of the Unzip folder. For some reason it read that it had over 13 Gb of data still in storage, despite the fact the app is 250 Mb and the only things listed as files there were a handful of Kb. There’s a storage leak. It’s not deleting something it should.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and got my data back, but man I’m gonna be more careful with this app now

Best unzip app ever!
This app is really useful.
Useful <3
Actually pretty good and that ads are manageable (hella short) for a free account compared to others.
