FAQ

What does the Up High app do?

Up High uses your device's barometric altimeter to show your current altitude and atmospheric pressure. It can also estimate weather conditions based on pressure changes and track how much elevation you gain or lose during your movements. The app works even without a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.

What are the key features of this altimeter app?

Key features include monitoring current atmospheric pressure in kPa, tracking relative altitude gain or loss, and providing GPS altitude and coordinates. It also offers weather condition estimations and allows for unit changes between feet and meters.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the application is available for free. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned in the provided data.

What devices is Up High compatible with?

The app is designed for Apple Watch Series 3 & 4, but also works with other Apple Watch models for GPS altitude. It is also compatible with iOS devices. Specific features may vary slightly between different Apple Watch generations.

How can I use this app for weather prediction?

The app estimates current weather conditions by monitoring atmospheric pressure. Changes in pressure detected by the barometer can help predict upcoming weather patterns. This feature is particularly useful for outdoor activities where weather can change rapidly.
