Unusable App
Every time you try to do anything within the app in regards to trading it logs itself out. Completely worthless

I’ve had this app for a year. It has never worked. They need to fix their interface or I will leave the bank.

Got the smartly card. Was going to move $100k in SPY shares just to get the 4% cash back tier for the card.
I literally can’t even sign into the app. It keeps crashing. This is such an embarrassing look for such a large company. I guess Robinhood can keep my money. Hopefully they’ll give me a Gold Card soon so I can drop the smartly card as well. Robinhood is so much better all around than this junk.

Well, it’s 2025 now… I felt I was using a platform that had been established on 1995. The worst platform that I ever used since I started trading on 2010….
Updated review: they literally just took my money
I placed an order for a share of a stock. The software is so bad that it took the money out of my account even though no stock was purchased. They literally just took money from me and didn’t give me anything in return. I feel disgusted.
Warning to new Smartly customers, this app is horrible.
Truly one of the worst apps I have ever used, and that’s coming from a longtime Vanguard app user. Buying stocks is not intuitive and the price doesn’t refresh. I am awestruck by how useless most of the features are. I suppose this is the price you pay for a 4% cash back credit card.

I’ve been doing this since 1974. Maybe I’m too old but this is difficult, strange and almost impossible to use… so I’m firing you. Maybe I’m too old, but I can’t use your software and goodbye… signed Joe Holly.
Rarely ever loads
I’ve been stuck on the login wheel of death for minutes at a time and then it times out. I haven’t been able to log in for weeks.
Terrible app
This and us bank both apps are so bad. I was hoping us bank would be my default bank but idk how to work with these terrible apps. Specially the investment app is so basic.
New Smartly customer
This is without exception the worst investment banking app I have ever experienced. Instead of telling the devs what's wrong, I will encourage them to compare this app to Fidelity, Schwab, Think or Swim, Robinhood, etc. And USBI has the gall to charge brokerage customers $5 per stock/ETF trade and a $50 annual fee for this? I wouldn't even consider USBI were it not for the Smartly Visa rewards structure, which essentially requires one to invest capital in order to reach the highest cash back tier. Its utility is thus limited to a "set it and forget it" approach. Don't do this to yourself if you're a frequent trader.

Fees and commissions everywhere
Schwab, Vanguard, fidelity, IBKR are better with cost, service, and app. Us bank still has a 4.95 commission on buying and selling. To waive commission for the first 160 trades, you need to have a “smartly” checking account. By the way the checking account has fees!
The app is more antique than either of the 4 brokers mentioned earlier.

Clunky app.
Complete garbage
This is probably the WORST banking app I’ve ever dealt with. Even the regular banking app isn’t all that great. Others have way better reviews with way more customers. Even Wells Fargo is better than US Bank.
Very useful and thorough app
I keep learning the things the app can do it’s pretty cool. I love the CoPilot feature and the ability to change the PIN on your debit cards.

I love this banking app.
So easy to use.i use it every day. Rarely use lobby except for large bills or open another account.
Utilitarian
This app is very useful is displaying your investment accounts and clearly breaking down their activities, yet the UI could use some refinement. In some ways it does feel like a bunch of web pages ported over to an app.
