The idea seems good — execution poor

The darkness of the app is weird, the fact that you can’t see the rest of the exercises is weird

The Missing Piece in Trauma Recovery. Long Overdue & Deeply Needed

As someone in trauma recovery, I wanted to say thank you for creating something that feels long overdue.

Most wellness apps seem designed for people who are grounded & know what they’re feeling, why they’re feeling it, and which coping skills they should use. For many of us, that’s not where the journey starts.

When you’ve spent years in survival mode, dealing with chronic stress, trauma, betrayal, anxiety, or simply living with a nervous system that’s constantly trying to protect you, the hardest part isn’t doing a breathing exercise. It’s understanding what’s happening in the first place.

What’s different about VagalPath is that it recognizes that gap. Instead of assuming users already have the self-awareness and language to identify what’s happening internally, it helps build that understanding. It acknowledges that sometimes we’re trying to figure out why we feel overwhelmed, shut down, hypervigilant, exhausted, disconnected, or stuck before we can even begin applying the tools.

I’ve searched for something like this for a long time and haven’t found anything that approaches it quite this way. It feels less like another wellness app and more like a guide for people who are learning to reconnect with and understand their nervous systems.

Thank you for bringing us something that feels both needed and long awaited. There are a lot of people trying to heal who don’t need another app telling them to breathe—they need help understanding themselves first. This is the first app I’ve found that genuinely seems to recognize that difference.

Also want to note this developers other apps, and specifically the log for tracking homeschooling work…it’s EXACTLY what I’ve mentally envisioned as the PERFECT tool I had wished was a thing when my children were still in their school age years. That app literally hits the exact same needs of a parent who knows how valuable REAL actual life is and homeschooling that the government/educational system doesn’t recognize at its face value by letting a parent quickly and easily log their real life experiences and then translates those experiences into a education “language” that meets the demands and definitions required of parents. The amount of time and energy wasted on meeting these requirements are something that benefits only the government/educational system needs and gives parents back substantial amounts of time and energy for what really matters!!! Another real life need this developer is meeting while so many others are simply a variety of different formats but ultimately are giving you copies of what’s already out there. I think this is a developer who is finally filling gaps with valuable tools and resources!!!! Well Done!!
