A good Blender alternative for the iPad
This app has grown an enormous amount over the last year and, in my humble opinion, it's now an excellent resource for 3D modelling on an iPad. For a lot of 3D modelling of vertices, edges and faces it's pretty much as good as using Blender but in an app you can take anywhere. And with the boolean operators, import options, and expanded vertex, edge and face tools, you can make some pretty sophisticated models.
Of course, there's always some little improvements I'd like to see. Like sliding a vertex along a connected edge rather than just moving x, y or z coordinates. And some things seem not so intuitive to me. Like when I tap the object inspector button it stays for me to tap to close the panel. But if I tap the command button it disappears and I had to work out I have to slide the panel away with my finger.
But overall I'd definitely say this is now a 5* app!

Thank you for the feedback. If you haven’t already, please check out the latest version of Valence. There have been major bug fixes to improve stability and boolean operations were added back in Q1 2025.
by far the best 3D Modeling software on iOS.
the perfect software for your 3D workflow. truly unrivaled in its respective category. loads seamlessly and never experienced any crashing—even on my iPad (9th gen), which is entry-level at best. far exceeded my expectations even upon its initial release.

I absolutely love this app, and most importantly, there is nothing comparable for mobile devices. Being able to create and work on projects like this using only my iPhone, without carrying around bulky hardware, is simply incredible—thank you for that! 🙏🏻
The app is exceptionally well designed. Its workflow reminds me somewhat of Blender, and it allows users to create surprisingly complex models and designs. I mainly use it for product and automotive design.
That said, I would love to see the app continue to grow with more advanced tools and features. Since it has very little competition and is ahead of Blender in many ways when it comes to mobile devices, it has enormous potential. With continued development, it could become something truly outstanding.
Personally, I would even be willing to pay more or subscribe to a premium plan if it helped support the ongoing development of the software. This could include new tools, more advanced rendering capabilities, and perhaps even the integration of AI-powered features.
My message to the developers: make the most of what you have created before it’s too late. What you’ve built here is genuinely impressive, yet it remains far too unknown. You have something special on your hands.
