Highly infested with bugs
I’m a lifetime membership decided to take advantage for the Kickstarter. I have been using a different VPN for years, but decided to save the money and take advantage of the Kickstarter. The problem is I constantly have to delete the software and reload it. It is extremely buggy I haven’t found an exact pattern that works every time it’s like a wild card. I do hope that this group figures out how to get the bugs out. I’m currently putting up with it because my finances are very tight at the moment But I am thinking of going back to a different VPN that works flawlessly and seamlessly for this one I have the VPN working then I leave the house for a while. I come back. I don’t see Internet connection. The Internet will not start either then delete ValeVPN. Then I have Internet then I have to reload it have to reload delete and reload the software every other day or a couple times a day is extremely frustrating. Hopefully there’s a new update soon that eradicates this problem.

Doesn’t
Terrible UX that hasn’t changed one bit since the product launched on Kickstarter. More importantly, the VPN connection itself doesn’t work more often than it does.

I am a kickstarter backer, after a year the customer service disappeared and only a few regions remained. Does not answer anything and ignores. I am very disappointed that I believed it. I think I was deceived and other peoples.
Updated review: Terrible policy management
Backed this app with Kickstarter with lifetime membership. Less than a year after they silently changed the rules which make it a total waste of money. Asked them to resolve or refund and completely been ignored. Stay away!!!
Service declining
I backed this app on Kickstarter and was very happy at the beginning. Now the service has steadily declined. Less locations available and connection issues.
Latest version of the app on 26/10 and I get an error message box every time I start the app. So completely useless at the moment.

Doesn’t work
I got involved with this company while they were in Kickstarter. Since launch I have found the service to steadily decline in utility to the point now where none of their apps work for me anymore. I have reached out to their tech support for help. After 2 days I got an email back saying they will get back to me soon. That was a week ago.
My suggestion, try a different service. For me this has been a complete waste of money.

New Update Made It Worse
The new update removed some locations. App doesn’t boot up sometimes and speed is significantly reduced. Got a lifetime membership, hopefully you guys provide patches soon.

Coming from a different VPN service I find this one lacking on some aspects but it seems to be getting better, there are some bugs that still need to be worked out.
Reliable and Improving
I purchased via the initial Kickstarter campaign. I only use the mobile app currently; it appears to have stabilized greatly since it’s first release, although there are some pesky bugs related to restart of the app that they appear to be still ironing out.
For the price, especially, I would take this over Express VPN, and some others.

Great VPN and great support
This isn’t just a really good VPN, it’s also a really good community that’s made possible by a lot of hard work and a caring organization. Can’t help but wonder if some of the criticism is from scammers who are trying to compete with these guys.
Lame half baked VPN with no support
No router support, no openvpn or wire guard support and no kill switch. They stopped responding after ending the Kickstarter campaign. Only activity I see from the developers are some generic posts in Reddit with zero relevance to their vpn service. Any criticism sees some sugarcoated responses, but no fixes to their app. The Mac app is built with a trial version of the installer that has expired. I wasted money on this garbage app.

Working as expected
Great product, a good way to receive content while abroad. Impossible to block their IPs by content providers.

Amazing VPN
Followed Kickstarter this is the best VPN that I have personally used, for everything I need. Easy to use, fast access, stable connections around the world, long use, fast speeds, Great I highly highly recommend!

Grabbed the deal from Kickstarter and was definitely skeptical but wow, literally works perfectly everytime.
Much faster that than others I’ve tried.
Why? As far as I can tell, it’s not a shared server and doesn’t rely on physical servers like Express/Ghost/Nord.
I use primarily to stream movies while I’m overseas and also whenever I’m working from coffee shops, airports etc.
Easy to use.
Great job to the team.
