Won’t keep me signed in
Try to read an article. Tells me to subscribe or sign in. Go to Sign In, tells me I’m already signed in. Go back to article, tells me to sign in. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Impossible to search for back issues.
Have had nothing but trouble with this app and the site.
Vanity Fair
Amazing! Just terrific!
Impossible to read online
Love the mag but dang is it hard to read online!
Unreadable.
The font is minuscule and although settings includes a font size slider, the slider does not work. This is especially annoying as the web site is also terrible. While it has larger font it is incredibly slow to load and the navigation is a nightmare.
Love the new VF!
Finally this magazine is writing interesting things again!
Not a good app
I think the set up for the VF app is really odd. The Atlantic and the New Yorker apps are much more user-friendly. Their apps have suggested articles, and searches that actually work! It’s easy to scroll through the articles and find something that appeals to me. I’m deleting the VF app.
Vanity Fair app
Does not work
Great Content Pathetic App
I have always enjoyed reading Vanity Fair and will continue to do so as long as they do not bend a knee. This app, however, is one of the worst I have ever seen. There is no excuse in the day and age to publish something so subpar. Make the investment to provide a better app for your readers VF.
Terrible app, unreadable even on iPad
In a nutshell, the app presents beautiful looking screens nicely laid out (even if you only see half of an image), but it’s actually terrible if you actually want to read the articles.
Really emblematic of our current age and technology.
The content of course is great but it’s let down by a terrible app. One simple, but fundamental, flaw - the font. The font, which cannot be adjusted, is a minute serif font that is totally unreadable on iPad. And there is no way to adjust it. Yes, you can pinch zoom (built in iPad feature) but then it’s complicated to scroll through the text.
Navigation generally is a bit of a pain to scroll pages with large photos - it’s hit and miss as to whether dragging the photo to scroll works.
Some photos are split over two screens, ie you only see one half at a time.
There is a nice ribbon with thumbnails of every page that you can click on.
But there is no table of contents with hot links.
Clearly not designed with reading in mind ; just flipping pages.

App doesn’t work
Simply put, I bought a digital subscription, worked initially (for a few pages) then I couldn’t get get back into it later. Kept asking for print subscription log-in and password which I obviously don’t have. Useless
Refuses to let me in
Despite every "restore purchse" or sign in , it does NOT restorr purchasr. A big headache &. Now to try ad get my money back from Apple, which is next to impossible these days.
App is tricky
The app is opposite of intuitive. The articles and content are great. But even just writing this review was annoying to navigate
Love content, hate UX
I love vanity fair articles and podcasts, but the app needs to go back to a point where I can click into an article rather than swipe through an entire magazine where I need to zoom in to read the content.
Terrible app for a great magazine
The app is appalling.
The biggest issue is the flea sized font and no apparent way to increase it. So I’ve basically stopped reading it on my iPad.
Navigation is erratic , to get back to table of contents etc from an article requires multiple random stabs at the top of the screen. There should be navigation icons visible at all times.
Large photo headers of articles are also counter intuitive to navigate around.
End result my reading of VF is about a tenth of what it was. Shame.

Subscription
I have bought a subscription yet am forever prompted to restore purchases and won’t let me access my account
The new Vanity Fair App
The new app makes it well nigh impossible to navigate on a cellphone or IPad! I think I need to cancel my subscription as it is so difficult now to choose and read an article. Very disappointed!!
I used to live this App, now it’s horrible
What happened to the table of contents and links to stories? Now the only option is to thumb through every page of the magazine, a complete waste of time. The person responsible for this ‘upgrade’ should be fired.
Disappointing format
If I wanted to flip through 100+ pages, I’d subscribe to the paper edition. I’ve enjoyed the advantages of the electronic version for years, but am not happy with the new format. I agree with the previous reviewer: this may as well be a pdf.
New format
I need to cancel my 30 year association
