Quirky Full RPG Sim
This game has a great atmosphere and soundtrack. It IS in portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal). It does utilize a lot of menus and first person dialogue sequences. But you’re physically exploring your town as it grows, exploring the wild as you discover more, and fighting turn based battles during exploration quest. The quests are on rails, so no exploring an overworld. But it’s a cozy, slow burn, JRPG with a lot of character for such a bland name.

Portrait Mode doesn’t exist?
Weirdly enough, I thought the iOS version still came in portrait mode. I guess I forgot that after the game was ported to Switch for a better experience, they updated the iOS version to also be vertical. I like it a lot less because I may as well have gotten it on my Switch
