I am just beginning to use the app and like it very much. I have not explored all features but I have had success in entering my inventory. There are a few bottles not scanning or scanning and not allowing entry into my inventory. I also have not figured out the manual add function. So far so good.

Slow too add new bottles

I’m have manually submitted alot of bottles (more then a dozen), that are not in the inventory. I have waited almost a year for approval, to no avail.

I have also bar scanned bottles that have popped up, but does not allow it to be added to my inventory.
Only works good for existing bottles.

Great - to a point

Nice app with good information - when you can upload the info. Out of the first 45 whiskeys I tried to add, 17 were not recognized or were being evaluated by developers.

Unusable

Can’t even register in order to use the app. Registration sends you in a loop saying “something went wrong”.

Not Ready for Primetime

This app is a really cool concept but it's just not ready. There are far too many bottles that are just not in its inventory. I have about 80 bottles, and most of them are pretty common, and it only found about 45 of them.

Lots of potential, but has critical flaws and appears it may be abandoned.

The app interface is cool, it’s user friendly and has lots of potential.

The problem is it has a very limited amount of inventory that you can add… if you stick to *only* major companies and normal sizes you may be fine. But if you get special variations, try to add from medium to small companies you will be screwed. Very hit and miss! Out of about 50+ bottles my wife and I have, I was only able to add 10.

The critical flaw is they choose is to ensure that only they can validate new entries, and obviously they can’t keep up so the app is of limited use and as such has very limited adoption. Look at apps like Discogs where anyone can enter but others can update/correct, etc. Let folks add what they want and just a button to say ‘this is wrong, please review’ for corrections. Unless changed the app will never be widely used.

… the fact there hasn’t been an update in over a year isn’t a great sign either. Too bad, lots of potential here.

Great app for whisky nerd

I gave this a 5 star because this is exactly what I was looking for and eliminates the need for a spreadsheet or trying to remember all that I have in my stock. One know is that my list disappeared and could not retrieve for almost a week and thought it was lost forever after all the hard work to scan all my bottles in. By the way about 40 bottles were not findable which was was a bummer and but did log over 200 other bottles. Need some work in fine tuning and would have given it a 4 but because a developer developed an app that filled a need for us bourbon nerds a 5 was given. Give it a try and let’s hope they fine tune and add other bottles to searchable bottles that are out there.

Needs work!!

I got this and had good expectations. I downloaded it and started adding my inventory. I added a dozen bottles and thought this is going to be good. The next day when I went to add more to the inventory I get a message saying it can not fetching bottles and the inventory is empty. It also gives that message on the opening page. And no idea how to fix this problem.

Can’t add most labels to your collection. Ouch.

This app has so much potential, but the database is so sparse - “waiting to validate” 75% of the labels I scan. And I’m not scanning rate stuff. Devs might try crowdsourcing. Pros: Somewhat useful for price checking. Cons: You can’t add most bottles to your collection due to to limited data so not useful for inventory tracking or personal tasting history.

Close but needs some fixes

I love the idea of this for inventory. I couldn’t add bottles to my inventory that are found by barcode but wrong or not verified. Also several bottles scanned incorrectly - for example Bardstown Founders came up as Bardstown Discovery and there isn’t a way to add it separately or “correct” an incorrect scan. It would also be nice to add a “store pick” note after scanning, or to adjust proof as that can very across single barrels.

No longer works

I loved this app for the last month but now it stopped working. I just get error messages like their server is offline. Emailed the developer but never heard back.

Good concept bad execution

Like the barcode scanner but app keeps glitching. Won’t let you add bottles and keeps getting error messages and no response from developers when contacted for help

Unable to login app

Cannot create an account in the app. Found their website - created account there. Cannot login to account in app. Bummer. Went seeking out an app that does exactly what this says it does, and was excited to download.

Doesn’t work

Very first bottle I scanned wasn’t in the db so I tried to add it. I get an “Oops” message every time I try to submit.

Thanks for your feedback DavidInGA. We've got some big updates in the works that should fix some of these issues and can't wait to share them with everyone! We apologize for the inconvenience but hope you'll check out our updates in the future.

Hrvck

Great looking app. I can’t wait to check out it’s full potential.

Whiskey’s Best Friend!

This app is a whiskey lover’s dream! If you were looking for one app to help you organize your collection, store tasting notes and other relevant bottle information, compare pricing, or just learn more about whiskey, this app has something for you!

Seriously lacking

Started building my inventory, and discovered I could not add bottles that have have not been ‘tasted’ by the app developers.
That in itself makes the app useless. What’s even more ridiculous? It says they haven’t tasted any variety of Jim Beam, or Maker’s Mark!
Ridiculous.
I’ve deleted the app.

WI BD - thanks for your feedback!!! We're working very hard to make improvements every day. While we initially set up the interface to allow users to add only verified bottles (so that you only see good information) to their shelf, we realize this can be prohibitive. To ensure users are not restricted from adding bottles, we are removing this limitation in the next release in two weeks. We will still validate the bottle information, which will automatically be updated in your shelf once done. That way you get to add whatever bottle you want, and we update them as you add them to give you the best content available! We are also notified when users scan a bottle that isn't validated and we go in and update that information ASAP, although this can sometimes take a few days. We expect this to slow down as our database of validated bottles continuously grows. Hopefully you'll come back - we need users that are engaged and provide feedback. In addition to the minor fixes we are making like this one, we've got a long list of amazing capabilities we hope to roll out soon. Sláinte!

Oh yea...get this one!!!

About time somebody put together a fantastic Bourbon App. Easy navigation, intuitive interface, and fantastic graphics. Hurry up and get the marketplace open, I’m ready to buy some bourbon. Can we talk about Cigars too? I am sure your Cigar and App/interface is going to be just as wonderful.

I ❤️ Whiskey

An app for 🥃? Ok.....I’m in. Beautiful layout. Pour another please...
