Unstable
The previous version wasn’t great, but at least could complete a project/scan. With updated iOS on 17 Pro, I have not been able to complete any modeling method without the software closing midway through capture.
Can’t sign up or sign in
Like the title says. None of the buttons that would start that process work. Can only use demo mode.
Really helpful in the right moment
I don’t use this app too often, but when I want to show a Vectorworks model to a non—Vectorworks user it’s super useful.
Unable to log in
The sign in button does nothing. I tried multiple different ways, tried reinstalling the app. It just wouldn’t let me sign in 🤷

Much has changed
This app has changed significantly over the past view years. While I still can’t open a VWX file, I can do a number of things related to capturing existing conditions while on site. There are so many options including photos to 3D and Room Plan. And let’s be real, why would I open a full Vectorworks file on my phone or iPad mini? I don’t need all that.
While I haven’t had a use of the 3D viewer just yet, I can myself pulling this up to have a quick conversation with a client when at a lunch meeting. I’m waiting for support of review/markups that I can send back to Vectorworks much like what I can do on the cloud web portal. That will make this app even more useful.

Please add a .vwx viewer
This is an app that should not exist😭Hard to believe there is not a vwx viewer and harder to believe that time was wasted on AR capture that doesn’t work and crashes a brand new 2024 iPad Pro, and a very inaccurate room measurement AR tool and 3D generator that looks cool like a video game and sort of works but is pretty useless for actual architecture work.
Some of the other features like being able to import and view crude walkthroughs and models and move around are nice but generally this app does not deserve the Vectorworks name.

This used to be great now it just crashes and never will open!
Impressive
I can believe how accurate this app scanned 90m2 flat floor plan… the import process and how easy you can work with the data is impressive to say the least.
Some of the features in the app doesn’t work but I think that will get fixed with time

Doesn’t work
Was great when it worked, now just crashes all the time. I can’t even open it.

This is also the first time I the iPad Pro that all the cloud drives are disconnected except Dropbox. It won’t allow me to add them back either. I love this app, please don’t die Nomad.

What’s the point?
It’s a vectorworks app that can’t open vectorworks files. It’s completely useless.
If I were Vectorworks I’d be ashamed of this
It’s a Vectorworks app that can’t open a Vectorworks file! So any notes I add will be on a .pdf file, not in my .vwx file! So I need two different files because I went to the job site to check a measurement? I can already mark up pdf files on my iPad with other apps, more elegantly and with less effort than this! If i’m showing a project in 3D, I’ll use my portable computer in vwx. Not with this. A problem in search of a solution showing a real lack of understanding by the devs. This should open .vwx files, at least simple ones, and let me do field editing when checking dimensions etc. It could create a .nomad layer or something so I could not mess anything up, but could use my edits once the file was on my computer.

Scan and go
I’ll often need to survey an existing building before I model the as-builts. The scan feature in Nomad can assist in expediting this process, and the quickly generated file acts as a reliable backstop if I ever need to check dimensions. Thanks Vectorworks
Pathetic
Hopeless app. Spent 15minutes creating account, linking iCloud Drive and adding a Vectorworks file to my shared area. Onlly receive a message ‘Vectoworks files cannot be opened in Nomad’. Ludicrous adn no mention of this in the all description. Why on earth would I get this crap app to open a PDF?? Come on guys!

Poor Sharing abilities
No iCloud Drive support. No sharing abilities. Very frustrating
Works great!
The VR and AR tools are fantastic for viewing my projects. The scale feature to 100% is very cool. It would probably be even better on an iPad. The only flaw right now is that the colours seem faded from my original VW file.
So bad, always crashes
The concept is great. I love the idea. It just doesn’t work 1 bit. Crashes when ever you try to open a file. Total waste.
