Terrible
This app is ridiculous! It does nothing to control the fan - so sorry I bought this product! In this day and age a make an app that works!!!!!
Veent pairing
The Veent app and fan are great when the fan is paired to the switch, but sometimes they need repairing (e.g., after blackouts, when replacing battery) in order for the fan and app to be helpful.
The following info is very important to Veent owners, but not readily available, so copy to someplace important.
To pair the Switch and grille please follow all steps:
The instructions are:
You will need a paper clip.
1) Cycle the power to the fan (turn the breaker off and then on)
2) On the back of the wall switch there is a battery compartment. Open battery compartment and remove the battery for 15 seconds or longer (to reset the switch) and then re insert the battery.
3) Remove the grille from the fan housing but make sure the cable remains plugged in between the grille and fan housing. On the back side of the grille near the center locate the small paperclip size hole. There is a button inside. Use the paperclip to press and hold the button form 20 seconds, then release. Use the paper again to press the same button 5 times. Then press the large button on the wall switch 5 times. You have about 20 seconds between pressing the grille button with the paper clip and the large switch button.
4) Try the light, max fan and fan buttons on the switch. They should now work. If it does not connect the first time please try again it will connect. (No need to remove the battery again or cycle power at the breaker box but must be done once). It may be a little easier if you have one person at the grille and one person at the switch.

Dysfunctional
The app is simplistic at best. The fan/switch interface sporadically works. The app/fan interface sporadically works. Not dependable. Do not recommend.
Replacing battery hard to sync.
Works great till it doesn’t. For some reason I have to completely remove switch from wall wiring for it to try to sync. App layout stinks. This company definitely needs a new staff. Gunning for failure seems to be the goal.

It pairs, then it doesn’t pair. My night light is stuck on blue and can’t change colors nor brightness. I’ve had new fan sent to me, but then that fan started to malfunction after a year. One of the worst, if not the worst, technological purchases I’ve ever made. The only saving grace is that GTR support is very helpful (Darryl).

Worst app in 2020
Absolute garbage, I spent an hour to figure out how to use this software. If you hire high school students to make your app, find some smart students at least.
The real problem is there is no easy way to know you are connected or not.
For those who wants to use the app, press the main button for 10seconds until green light blinking, try pair Bluetooth, if can’t find, that’s fine, go to app directly and turn on the night led by pressing that led logo, set to max light, change color to test if you are connected or not, there is usually a 3-5 seconds delay.
The real problem is there is no easy way to know you are connected or not.

Where is the god forsaken update which is clearly necessary for all 7 of us to use the fan the way we thought at the time of purchase? I can’t even pair my switch to my fan but am thankful, I think, this fan has a mind of its own and just turns on quietly whenever a shower is taken and most of the time shuts off. Fix the app people

Useless
The fan doesn’t remember it’s settings when there’s a power glitch. The switch stopped working and takes a weird battery. The app is pointless if the physical components don’t work and remember the settings without constantly reconfiguring them.
Switch is terrible
The fan would be great if it would work with the supplied switch. I have to press the button repeatedly just to get the light to work. The auto fan works but is useless if you want to manually use the light or turn fan on yourself. Wish I had have known this before I got everything in place and hooked up. Definitely not worth the price

Fan and app
App is an absolute garbage. Fan looks nice but doesn’t work without app. Why can’t I simply turn it On by simple push of a button? Absolutely worthless piece of equipment. Don’t buy!

When are you planning to update your app as it’s not really working?
No “save settings” option?
After I connect to the fan and change my settings, there’s no way to save them? I’ve tried closing the app, nope, when I reconnect it still has the old settings. I’ve tried hitting the wall control for the fan, nope, when I reconnect it is still the old settings. How do you save the fricken settings?
My fan is set to max sensitivity as default and therefore continuously runs.

Very poor app
It is very hard to make the app do what it is supposed to do. It does not respond to functions you select on the app. Will drop WiFi connection often. Very hard to rest and reconnect to WiFi
Does not work at all
Fan seems good but the app is garbage. It doesn’t pair at all! The device doesn’t appear on Bluetooth discovery so it doesn’t even pair with or without the app. You should hire real professionals when creating intelligent devices, this is a really poor job in every sense.

Will not connect easily to Bluetooth if it does manage to connect once you turn on the fan with the switch it defaults to factory settings.
Also the light section indicator is awful it’s obvious the programmer of the app has never used this fan! You have to slide the colour bar sector to guess what light colour you want and it takes 10 minutes to recognize your choice and then the colour fill flash through five different colours then finally settles on a random colour.
Cosmetically the fan looks very nice and is built well with a magnetic grill but the app is absolutely terrible the bluetooth functionality is terrible at best!

Bug issues
App does not connect to my fan
Seems nice, app is garbage.
I just finished installing the fan. It looks dope, is brighter than I expected. Trying to change it through the app is frustrating. If it does change it’s a 30 second delay. Actually 30 seconds. Also have a list of the colors rather than a non marked slider. Think about your UI. Geesh.
