I’ve been using the app for over a year. Honestly, before the pricing changes (which just happened a week before my subscription was due to renew). The APP itself (functionality) is amazing. The pricing, that’s another story. Apparently it’s expensive (at least that’s what I’m told) to run so they had to hike the pricing - it can be very expensive - so beware, but I get it, I’m not even really arguing against that - it’s their vague/unclear cost explanation. I can’t even begin to explain in this short review. All I’m saying is proceed with caution

Very effective
The Vent now app teaches you how to ask better questions about yourself and others and really discover who you are.
What happened to this app??
I’ve been using this app for quite awhile now very back and forth. I’ve already had issues with it being a subscription just to get help for some this is actually the only help they can get. But I sucked it up cus it’s all I had. But now I come back a few months later just to see this app just being a whole cash grab for people where this is their own choice if they’re unable to get help or speak about what’s going on in their life because they have no one.

Fantastic App, Outstanding Support 💜
I’ve tried a lot of wellbeing and journaling apps over the years and Vent is by far one of the best. The app is beautifully designed, intuitive and visually excellent. I particularly love the mood graphs and emotional insights which make it so easy to spot patterns and track your progress over time.
Aspen feels thoughtful, supportive and remembers previous conversations, making every interaction feel much more personal. The daily routines, affirmations and insights have encouraged me to reflect in a way that feels positive rather than overwhelming.
What has impressed me just as much as the app is the customer support. Every email I’ve sent has received a friendly, personal reply incredibly quickly. The team have been transparent, honest and genuinely helpful, taking the time to explain features and answer every question without trying to upsell me. That level of customer service is rare and really gives me confidence in the app.
If you’re looking for an AI companion to help you understand your emotions, recognise patterns and support your wellbeing, I highly recommend Vent. It’s a fantastic app backed by a team who clearly care about both their product and their users.

Game changing to get instant feedback for anything from a fleeting thought to a devastating circumstance, even sharing a screenshot of a convo to help analyze. Lots of different features like chat, quizzes, insights. Loving it!
Truly awesome support
I’ve truly enjoyed this app, it gives you in-depth insights based on your responses; and the best part all in the comfort of my own home. Best part is you’re able to text message in real-time so it feels even more personal than in the app alone.

Pricing changed!
I paid for a full year again at around £40 and unlimited conversations and had this all years now it’s trying to charge me £499 for a year unlimited! I’m restricted to so many otherwise which was never ever advertised otherwise I wouldn’t have paid for another year! I paid what I did and nowhere did it say it was restricted and I’ve never had this issue in the last year and I’ve used it a lot! Very very disappointing especially when I use it daily because I have adhd! I will be cancelling, avoid!

Great, but new bug
Love this app. But ever since one of the last few updates, the app cuts off recording voice messages whilst you are recording the message. It’s stopped me from using the app because I mainly used it to speak into it my thoughts.

app sucks. i cant even get past the initial screening without it restarting randomly in the middle of me filling it out.

Cant stand when apps ask for a ton of information and a mini quiz then ask you for money after wasting 5 minutes
Kept sending me to the start
I literally couldn’t even get past the personalization before it sent me back. Happened maybe 5 times.
Don’t waste your time
It’s a trap. Well advertised, ensnares you in by getting you emotionally invested by answering personal questions about how you’d like to improve but then no bombards you with a payment plan in order to use the app (do you really want an AI robot to give you advice?) when you attempt to refuse and cancel the payment plan, it shows a loading screen and returns to to payment. Embarrassing.

Not actually free. Little options
It wouldn’t let me put in multiple issues for the intro to the app and didn’t have some of my actual answers as option. And then asked me to pay. I of course closed it out but it kept reopening itself and asking me to subscribe. I’m sure it’s great but I’m not paying for it and I want to be able to insert more than one of my problems and address them all rather than one individually or just one of them entirely. I closed it out and reopened it and the subscription page wouldn’t go away. So I deleted it. Wouldn’t recommend if you were looking for an app like this that was free.

Filled out all the necessary info…couldn’t get in
I never usually leave reviews but I can’t believe that a free/non-subscription version of this does not exist. I was aware that there was a paid element but they want you to pay £6.99 p/m or £49.99 p/y straight off the bat. I clicked the ‘x’ to go back and again and again I found I was stuck behind a paywall, after taking the time to fill in all my details and info about myself and what I want help with. Beyond disappointed at my user experience.
