About
Understand restaurant inspection history before you eat.
Verdine helps you evaluate restaurants using public inspection evidence from supported Ontario health regions. Search for a restaurant and see a clear trust card built around the latest available inspection information, source freshness, and evidence strength.
Verdine is designed for people who want more than a name, address, or star rating. It helps you understand what public inspection records show — and when the evidence is limited, missing, or out of date.
With Verdine, you can see:
• The latest available inspection result
• When the restaurant was last inspected
• Whether inspection issues were reported
• Violation details where the public source provides them
• Whether the data may be stale or incomplete
• Whether Verdine found a confident inspection match
• Why a restaurant received its trust signal
Inspection history, made easier to understand
Public inspection records can be hard to interpret across different health regions. Verdine turns those records into a simple, readable view.
Instead of leaving you to dig through public databases, Verdine highlights the key inspection signals: the most recent result, available violation history, source region, and data freshness.
When there is not enough evidence to make a strong judgment, Verdine says so clearly. Missing inspection matches, limited records, and stale data are shown as important context — not hidden behind a generic score.
Current coverage
Verdine is launching with support for public inspection data in supported Ontario regions, including Toronto, York, Peel, Halton, Durham and Simcoe-Muskoka, where available.
Coverage and data availability may vary by region, restaurant, and public source. Different regions may publish different inspection fields, result types, violation details, and update schedules.
Important note
Verdine is informational only. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a replacement for any official public health authority. Verdine does not guarantee that a restaurant is safe or unsafe. Public inspection data may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or subject to change. Always refer to official public health records for the most authoritative information.
