Could be cool but can’t use it anymore because it keeps asking to enable location tracking. I chose only to let it track when I use the app but it doesn’t work. Can’t use any of the features unless I let it track my location at all times which I absolutely won’t do. Will delete unfortunately

Thanks for the feedback. VGN Social should work with location enabled only while using the app and should not require “always” location access. A few issues

I initially had a few issues with the front page not loading and the error message popping up every now and then. I’m now not receiving any notifications when someone messages me. I have attempted to turn off notifications and back on but that hasn’t helped it.

Could be great

This could be a really great platform if the app was functioning properly. Downloaded after seeing on Plant Based News and it’s had bugs and buffering consistently.

Even if that was fixed, the “places” feature is almost unusable for vegans. I have no idea where they are getting this data from. Some are valid, some in my area I look up that have no vegan options, at all, no guac, chips, appetizers, nothing.

It won’t let me create an account since it keeps saying timed out, and yes, my internet is good, and I even turned off WiFi to use cellular, and still won’t let me create one

No Local Awareness

Doesn’t show events anywhere close to where you are. Worst of all for Places it ignores our local vegan restaurants and lists meat focused places like a basque restaurant.

Good idea, needs improvements

Great concept, has the potential to be brilliant. Still plenty of teething problems. A few suggestions: add country & city to events since I have no idea where 32nd street is in the world. Bit cheeky that they’re promoting people to pay already, should be free for the first 6 months/year to get people to download and use it. Why would I pay £10 a month for 4x as many users (300) when there aren’t even 3000 users on the app yet. This could be great for the began community, I just hope it’s not owned and developed by money-grabbers. Anyway, 5 starts so far, all just teething problems this early
