It works still.
I found this thermometer in a clearance bin at tj max a few years ago and it have served my family well. I don’t use it for anything else but taking temperature, it would be nice if we could get a update on the app so it doesn’t become useless at some point.

Works fine but no health app integration
The thermometer words fine and has no problems connecting to the phone nearly every time without any fuss. However, there is no health app integration.
Good, except for one thing...
I would love this if it reliably connected to Bluetooth... it took me a long time to realize that in order for the thermometer to connect, I have to TURN OFF Bluetooth in my iPhone settings first—and then turn it back on—BEFORE turning on the thermometer. If you don’t do that, the thermometer never connects. Other than that glitch, it’s perfect.

Waste your time and money
At the beginning you might think this is a nice idea to track everything in your phone, but it turned out to be a terrible idea. How ridiculous is that a thermometer has to connect to a Bluetooth in your cellphone then will be able to use??? And I followed all the instructions and turned my phone and Bluetooth everything on and off for half an hour, this stupid thermometer still didn’t work!! So please don’t waste your money and time on this thing!

Great app
I’ve been using the app for 2 days since my son developed a fever. It tracks the individual which is great if you have more than one child, tracks symptoms and medications administered. Also you can set reminders for meds or temp checks. I’m really liking this app!
It doesn’t work
I bought this thermometer because it seemed like a good idea to be able to track your fever when you or your child have fever. I really disappointed because it wouldn’t work for me. I download the app, then tried to add the device. It won’t connect with the Bluetooth on the app. It won’t register on your phone under Bluetooth Devices, so the only way to connect is through the app. After trying for at least 15 minutes I gave up and I’m going to return it later today. Such a waste of time and money.

Extremely Blind Friendly!
I appreciate the overall simplicity this app provides.
I am a blind individual. It has always been a chore to tell my temp. I had a thermometer that had differing audible beeps. This was to let you know an approximate of your temp. However, then I would need sighted assistance to know actual temp.
Along came the smart thermometers. Great idea, which provides the blind community it's independence.
I first purchased a much more expensive unit from Withings. Couldn't even activate the thermometer. The app didn't work with a screen reader... So I couldn't even finish activating my account.
Along comes the Vicks Smart Thermometer... The app is completely accessible for a blind individual to use. Not only that; I didn't have to open an account... Then build a profile. This app just has you start a profile.
Building a basic profile and activating my thermometer took less than 5minutes to complete. Then was able to take first temperature reading.
I can now follow my temp when not feeling well... More importantly, I do not need to bother someone to read a temp for me when running a fever.
Highly recommend to those in my blind community... Easy setup with directions already in the app. You can't go wrong!

It worked great until I updated iphone. Now I have to turn blue tooth off and back on again to get it to connect. App support link takes you to website very difficult to navigate. Still haven't been able to find app support on that site. I love my thermometer but it is frustrating since update.
inaccurate !! terrible !! total crap !!
1st: having to give a star for this crap is one star too many for this useless thermometer! took temperature 5 times in a row and got completely different results each time ranging from 95.9 to 98.7 and all that within 15 minutes.
I then used a classic mercury thermometer twice in a row and both times I got 98.9.
If a fever thermometer cannot give you accurate readings well then it's just useless, plain and simple, no matter how nice the app is; the thermometer does not work.

I just took my temperature orally 5 times in a row again.
Every reading was completely different. I got temperatures from 97. 5 too 100.8. (!!)
I honestly do not understand these good reviews of the product. It is totally inaccurate and 100% useless.
Sure, the app is nice and shiny and looks good but what good is that if you're trying to find out whether you've got a fever or not and instead of an accurate reading you get some random readings that have nothing to do with your actual body temperature.
Very, very frustrating.

DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP FOR IT IS A WASTE OF $ and time with a dash of extra annoying.

Love this! Very accurate
I absolutely love this thermometer...I went to drug store to get my sick daughter some Motrin for a fever...my thermometer is old and outdated so looked at this contemplated on it. And the price is not bad at all considering all it does...I read the reviews and they are mixed reviews so I decided to write a good one because you really should get this it hooked right up to my iPhone and keeps track of all fevers it's just something you should consider if you need to get a thermometer

It’s ok when I use it
So I got this for free from Influenster for my honest opinion. It’s a good thermometer. However it will not work unless it’s synced with your iPhone. So if you’re doing something, or don’t have your phone for some reason you have to get it. Seemed liked an added step. I do like that keeps a history of temperatures which is nice to be able to track when your kid is sick. But I usually end up grabbing another one cause of the extra step.

So handy!
I love all of the options I have with this thermometer. One tool can do oral, axillary and rectal temps, eliminating the need for multiple thermometers. It can also track temps over time and record when medication was given to help track frequency of dosing. Easy to use and with so many extras, the app and thermometer together are a dynamic duo.
I love how quickly it produces a reading and the colt coding to help tired, frazzled parents translate what the number means in terms of fever severity. This tool provides important data regarding fevers, all automatically recorded and easily accessed n case of need for reference, which is really handy for a long-term illness and any reporting one may need to do to a physician.

Best thermometer for your young ones
I was very excited to receive this thermometer from Influenster for testing purposes. I am a very busy mom of a 5 and 3 year old boys who hate their temperature to be takin but love to play with my iPhone. So when I combined to good with the bad the results were amazing. I linked the thermometer up with the Bluetooth on my phone after I download the Vicks SmartTemp App and the boys had fun watching their temperature rise on the app. It reads quite quickly and is very accurate. This app also keeps track of all the boys readings in their own personal profile. Couldn't ask for a better way to stay organized when we live such a busy lifestyle. And now that my oldest just stared kindergarten it seems like he is catching everything under the sun so when he's feeling a little under the weather we grab our new Vicks thermometer to find out if we need to take a dose of Tylenol.

I have received this product for free from Influenster for testing purposes. It came right on time for the cold and flu season. The Vicks Thermometer works so well on my 2 little ones and it's so easy to use. You can take it on the go!
Love the features!
I love the Vicks SmartTemp thermometer and app! You can set a different profile for each member in your family and keep notes like medications used and the time they took it. Which is great for this momma of 3.
To get the actual temp is pretty fast and the thermometer lights up green or red depending on the temp.

Amazing
I love this thermometer out of ALL(which I have like 10) thermometers this one is the one I go for. It truly blew me out of the water! I'm not sure if there are other apps and thermometers out there like this but I would say Vicks innovative! The app is easy and so awesome!!!!!!!

Great app, few glitches
I've been using this thermometer and app for several months now. I received it from Influenster for testing purposes and it has been a useful addition to my medicine cabinet. The app works pretty well, doesn't crash, and is easy to manually enter anything you need. It keeps a great record. It does struggle with communicating with the thermometer from time to time which is why I can't give it 5 stars. Since the corresponding thermometer doesn't display anything, this can get frustrating when you're taking your kid's temperature multiple times. I love that you can enter in medicine dosages and you have a clear record of everything so you can reference it as needed. Overall, a great app!
