I am so grateful for this app. I can now watch a whole show or movie without having to hold the remote in my hand at the ready to fast forward. Almost all of my streaming services are able to be linked. All the new and featured shows and movies are on Vidangel. If something is missing, you can request that they add it. I love this app. The home page is easy to navigate. It’s so nice not having to hear the F word ring through my house anymore. Thank you Thank you for creating this app.

Not user friendly!
For someone who is only moderately tech any this app is almost impossible to set up! An Help is just about non-existent!

Well worth the money and so grateful that it’s affordable. VidAngel is a Godsend. Unfiltered movies today are normalizing pornography in our society and homes; even among children. I’m so grateful that VidAngel is helping us push back against that.Is the app perfect? Of course not, but if I had the ability to give more than 5 stars, I would.

Great app some small improvements though
Overall this is honestly a great app. The price is reasonable and the quality of blocking out stuff is amazing however some small things that could be changed is for some reason whenever i try to load into a show or movie sometimes even after a while it just wont load. You can restart your device or tv or keep waiting it just wont work which is frustrating. Also, id like to eventually see more shows and movies which im guessing will happen because you can already see good progress now. One last thing, the default settings should just make it so theres no blocking in basically anything pg and under its just unnecessary it makes little sense if you want your child that limited it should be something they have to add not something we have to change but still a great app and great to feel much more guilt free if i want to watch something else

For filtering, you can set the filters (and lock them) per profile. So you can set up a profile for your child and have the filters however strict you would like. Then set up a profile for the adults and have those set however you would like. Have a great day!

This is a brilliant idea, but it’s not executed very well. There’s a lot of hoops to jump through just to watch, i.e. what devices are compatible, streaming services with commercials aren’t capable, lack of content. They’re very slow at adding content from streaming services they claim to cover, and when I say slow, I mean slow. I’ve been waiting 6 months for movies to be added. Typically movies and shows leave the streaming platform before Vidangel adds them. Like I said, it’s an awesome concept, but Vidangel does a really bad job making it work.

Great idea
I love that this app will remove all the unwanted language and screens however having used it for several years it still freezes and shuts off on the TV screen. If it stops it starts the movie over from the beginning. It can be pretty frustrating. I don’t know why this bug can’t be fixed.
Awful
This app has 1000 rules that don’t let watch movies/shows. It never works properly, I’ve requests dozens of movies to be added that are on other streaming platforms, with ZERO success. There absolutely no customer service! Avoid at all costs!

I really love this app for our children but also for my husband and I we don’t want to see all the inappropriate stuff or hear all the cussing since they put it in everything. I would love it if they blurred some stuff instead of skipping the whole scene and you end up missing something. Like I don’t want to see men shirtless it would be great if they blurred it

Dysfunctional
This app is nice when it works - which is rare. You will deal with the need to individually link each streaming app that has what you would like to watch. However, linking it might not work about 85% of the time. We have gown through the trouble of downloading the Vid Angel app on our phones, because for some reason it can’t be done from the tv, linking a streaming service and then rented or bought something from the streaming app, but then it keeps telling us we need still need to link the streaming service even though it has been done. Which is a huge waste of money.

There’s not enough titles not enough new movies
This app does not have enough new movies on it for the price. Every time I look for something it’s not there and the movies they do have are terrible
Great concept, poor functionality
I signed up for this as I have young teen girls and the concept appealed to me. I paid the monthly subscription for several months but when I wanted to use it, it gave me an error and said I needed to Relink to the app. However, I spent an hour trying to do that but was unable to do so. Not at all user friendly or functional. I had great hopes but incredibly disappointed and would not recommend. $50 later I have nothing for my money except a lesson learned.

App doesn’t allow you to cancel subscription. I have to cancel my credit card to get out of monthly fees.
Great concept, bad execution
Have used this service for a while. Unfortunately, the last couple months the app has become unusable which makes the service worthless.

Frustrated with Incomplete Seasons!!!!
This was a great concept and resource at the beginning of my subscription but for the life of me I cannot understand why The Good Wife series has taken this long to complete on VidAngel. They’ve completed the shows The Good Fight and Elsbeth which were both spin offs that are readily available on VidAngel with both shows being fully available with all episodes. But for The Good Wife there are only two more seasons that we need to complete the series and VidAngel is taking an extremely slow time completing this series. My Wife and I started the series 2 years ago and it’s as if they are now adding a season per year now which is weird considering the series is already completed and available on Paramount Plus. I’ve requested for VidAngel to complete the series but every time I open the app they upload every other show and movie except this series.🤷♂️

Need to fix how movies are chosen
Liked it at first but they decide to use requests to see if they can filter a movie instead of just doing it. We asked for a movie that was a top seller on Amazon for months and performed well in the movies and still nothing. They added every movies behind and after it in top sellers. Doesn’t make sense to me. They should not rely on customers votes just to add movies. Also need an app on Samsung TVs. I’m tired of using my phone to cast it.

Most of the shows I wanted to watch were not available through VidAngel
Great concept, and when it works, it is amazing! Unfortunately a lot of shows are not available through VidAngel. There are shows I can watch though Netflix for example, that I cannot watch through VidAngel, despite th connection. I understand there are some licensing issues, but VidAngel requires me to have th add free version of Netflix to watch most shows.
