FAQ
What is Vignettz?
Vignettz is a map application that allows users to discover and share real stories pinned to the exact locations where they happened. It focuses on personal memories and local lore rather than reviews.
How does Vignettz use my location?
Vignettz uses your location only when the app is open to show nearby stories and confirm you are at a story's specific spot. It does not track you in the background.
Can I listen to stories anywhere?
You can preview any story from anywhere, but Vignettz is designed so that stories only play once you are physically standing in the actual spot where the story took place. This rewards being present at the location.
Who can create an account on Vignettz?
Users must be 18 years or older to create an account and contribute their own stories to the map. All submitted stories are reviewed before they go live.
Does Vignettz have ads?
No, Vignettz does not contain advertisements. The application is free to use and does not feature any ads.
