Virgin TV NOT on the Go

App requires you to be connected to your home WiFi, which totally defeats the objective of being on the ‘Go’. Virgin, why on earth would anyone want to watch their TV through the Virgin tv go app over the TV that’s already in the house!?
Seriously the Product manager should be embarrassed.
If this is not the intended MVP, I’d seriously suggest changing the name. IE Remove GO.

Rubbish

Been using tv go for years, mostly due to me travelling for work and it was handy, vpn on and go, boom. Now got the latest tv box. And it doesn’t work, nor does the remote control app. Yes they still charge more than the previous setup I had. Yet their app will not tell me my account can no longer use these apps, why NOT??

Another disappointing Virgin Experience

I can stream on every other platform, including free ones bbc, itv etc. I try this one and it’s constantly going to circle spinning. Not even making it to buffering and stop / start. For a media company this is a very poor effort, but from comments it is par for the course

Truly awful

Constant sign in loop just keep typing email address when trying to sign in never get as far as giving password.

Rubbish

Complete rubbish don’t download if you want to use on the go as it will only let you watch stuff recorded if your on you home WiFi network…..

Completely pointless🫤🫤

What’s the point?

Advertised as TV on the Go….couldn’t be further from the truth. Most things need to either be watched live, or you need to be connected to your home network to watch anything that’s been on already. Kind of defeats the whole point of it. If you miss the beginning, you can’t start watching from beginning like other TV channel suppliers apps and lots of channels you have to log into a different site to watch (such as SkySports). Could be so much better…if Virgin were to just put some thought and effort into it. Overall, disappointing and not worth downloading.

Awful

If I could give it zero stars I would. What’s the point of calling the app Virgin Media GO if you can’t GO anywhere. Absolutely sick of getting the “sorry-we can’t play this at the moment” on everything I’ve recorded or the can only play on tv error. It’s honestly useless unless you’re watching a programme live

Back page arrow under iOS three dots

The back page arrow is under the iOS three dots and can not be accessed when using. Virgin please address.

Utterly pointless

With the old Virgin TiVo boxes I could set the box to record remotely whenever I wanted/needed to. With the new boxes all you get when you try to record something is a message telling you the box is asleep and so you can’t set it to record until the box is awake. If I was by the box to wake it up I wouldn’t need to set it remotely in the first place, would I, so what exactly is the point of this app given that watching tv back (when that works, guess what, the box has to be on then too) can be managed by any other number of apps?

Why low rating?

Don’t get why the rating is only 3 star it does everything it’s suppose to do and can watch live tv and movies from anywhere. What else do you want it to do???

Unable to play

Virgin Tv Go is one of my favourite entertainment apps but recently I put it on my iPad and it’s been weird when I try to play something it says not available but if you click on and of it continuously it does work I just don’t know how to fix it. I don’t think it’s my iPad but ….

Terrible

Trying to watch World Cup games when not at home. Problems signing in the when you finally get into the app they want you to download iplayer and stv player. No point in this app then is there?

Absolutely garbage

Won’t allow login , passkey is never received via email, dreadful interface, don’t bother using this app it’s more trouble than it is worth.

Useless

I had a reason to talk to someone at Virgin recently and he was trying to persuade me to use this app, so I thought I’d give it a go. After a painful session trying to log in, it failed at the first attempt. I wanted to watch a recording but every time I tried to mirror to a TV it told me that this was not allowed for this recording. I gave up after several attempts with different programmes. I’m not watching an hour long programme on a phone. If it can’t mirror to a TV screen then it’s not worth the space on my phone.

Pretty useless. Avoid

Totally useless. Outdated tech and very noisy. Far tpo glitchy

Freezing

Keeps freezing when fast forwarding have to close and restart the watched program. Pain to have to keep bringing the box out of standby to watch anything on the app. Also regularly refuses to delete programs. Frustrating … fix the bugs.

Live tv fail

When watching live tv on the app I often get a “you’ve reached the max” message saying too many devices are using the app at the same time. I’m the only one using the app so that would be impossible.

Worst app ever ?

‘Service unavailable’ constantly displayed - never been able to use it

Horrible

Keeps on telling me to go on different apps such as iplayer and sky sports what’s the point in showing them on the guide when you can’t watch it

Glitchy sound

There are some shows that have such glitchy sound they are unwatchable on a mobile device. Very disappointing considering there’s been an app update 10yrs ago.
