Awful graphics

Bring back the original graphics! Everything looks so fake and AI I deleted it straight away… sad because I love the concept of Virtual Villagers!

Love the game but…

I have played this game since the first version was computer only. I have completed every game and was excited to see another version come out. The game is great and I love playing it however the game does not seem to continue when the app is not open. I will be away from the game for a few hours and come back and there has been absolutely no progress except for the countdown clocks those still seem to work.

It’s ok.

I have played all the vv games and these last 2 have been just ok. I find myself missing a lot of elements from the older games.

Pls stop using ai it look dreadful and isn’t as creative and also there Isn’t much to do other than collecting tech points so maybe do something about that cuz I c at do much in the game without them..

Meh

Villagers die too easily and it’s hard to get them to reproduce quick enough. There aren’t enough to gather food or tech points to actually progress in the game. Too little food and they won’t reproduce. Too few tech points and you can’t do anything. Lower the amount of tech points needed so it doesn’t take so long that all the villagers die. You shouldn’t HAVE to spend money to play the game and that’s what it seems.

Not the Best

I love this series but the newer games have a huge issue. Everything takes FOREVER. This game is the most egregious example. I feel like every time i make progress I’m told I won’t see any affects for 14 hours up to THREE DAYS. Needing 14 of an item that takes 20 minutes to craft. With no speed up function this is ridiculous and a clear attempt at a cash grab. Especially when the amount of lava stones you get in this game compared to VV6 is halved. Disappointed and wasted my time.

Offline Resource Consumption

It’s fun and I love puzzles but your villagers consume tons of food when you’re offline but barely create tech points. So if you can’t be online frequently your villagers will just starve to death because you don’t make tech points. Otherwise this would be a 5/5 game.

Same same same

Same game, same problems, days go by without anything to do in the game because they make research the only way to progress. It takes a week to get enough research points to progress in one category and you need multiple to solve puzzles. So all you end up doing is expanding your population during the lulls in puzzles.

In the old days you could speed up time, now you can’t. Game should have stayed paid to play not free to play with add-ons.

Love the game but boring while waiting for research points to accrue.

There are many other ways to earn Lavastones and Tech Points apart from buying them in the Marketplace - you can earn them through random events in the game, exploring volcanic cracks, watching video ads, the daily reward calendar and much more!

Ads pause the crafting

The game is great i’ve always loved the Virtual villagers/families series but when you offer ads to help benefit the player, on a game that relies on real time, why does it pause my crafting? If you make me sit through a full minute ad and i end up winning only 1 minute on the wheel, then i watched an ad for nothing since my crafting time got paused.

Too much money

I just spent 7.00 in two days on this game since I needed 100 lava stones to buy 1000 units of food. The villagers were STILL worried about food. I am dropping them on everything to no avail. I get a gatherer, but there is no place to store anything and no clue where to do so. This game is way too expensive and frustrating. I deleted it.

Bring back the old VV!

For over a decade Virtual Villagers was my go to game! 1-5 are so nostalgic, The Tree of Life is my favorite story line. I loved the old school graphics, the relaxation of it all, and how it all relied on patience and puzzle solving.
Maybe this is a niche complaint, but VV 6 & 7 aren’t living up to 1-5. It comes off like Ai slop, the new graphics aren’t what made VV special, and the gameplay itself just isn’t as smooth. I don’t like that if you want to progress, you basically have to spend money because if you try to just be patient at the beginning it takes too long for them to form a skill and your entire village dies.
Bring back the old graphics and gameplay! Not this Ai stuff!

Takes forever and no guide

They really want you to spend money on this game. Play is EXTREMELY slow and boring. There is a hint every 6 hours but no help guide and no map of where anything is or what steps to do next. It’s disappointing because I used to play older versions and had fun.

I played this game for many years since the very beginning. Only missing virtual villagers part six I look forward to continuing playing this one as well.

Help, glitch ?!

I would be happy to change my review if I find a fix. I love these games! But this one is so glitchy! I had to restart my first village because the construction table was just missing and never showed up. The second restart came after all my villagers died from missing one day. My third restart came when my frustration grew from not having enough skilled villagers to complete the tasks.

On my fourth village now and ready to scream. Do the puzzles need done in order? Must be because my scientist made plans for the hut before the apparently needed plans for the Turkey thing. So now they can’t build the hut (or won’t because they need an invention from solving the prior puzzle I guess) and won’t change the plans on the board. How am I supposed to fix this? I’m so tired of restarting.

Game not fully Loading

I am not able to open the game due to the game not loading, it only load to 96% and will not go any further.

No Technical Support

I have always loved the games in this franchise, however the technical support this time around is frankly shameful. I ran into an issue that halted any possibility of progression. All tech support would say was ‘there’s probably a part of the puzzle you’re missing’, ‘you can purchase hints to help’. and ‘certain level criteria needs to be met for specific puzzles’. I’m sorry, but I didn’t ask for a vague fortune telling. All criteria were met, all tasks completed, and the game itself told me to complete the task that’s broken.
Honestly saddening, I had really high hopes!

Villagers will only interact with items that are relevant to the puzzle steps you're currently working on! If they can't select an item when you drop a villager on the Crafting Hut, it means there are other puzzle steps you need to complete first! If you're stuck on a particular puzzle step, you can also purchase hints from the hint system in the game! We hope you continue to have fun with your Virtual Villagers!

Good but needs change

Developers need to change the whole nursing moms are useless while breast feeding. They can gather. Remember curlers living in the wild out their babies in a sling and still help with survival. Ridiculous they do nothing until the babies running around.
