Took money?

I love the whole virtual Villagers Game series and have had almost all of the games that came out but I bought $2 worth of lava stones (they give you 40) and it took out $5? They don’t have a direct place to email about the situation and apple is no help either. I would just like to at least get extra stuff if I paid extra money for it. Still going to play the game just not that happy with the situation

Impossible healer

Growing increasingly more frustrated trying to get a master healer. Have spent at least two hours consistently putting a villager on the hospital and the meter isn’t budging. Already maxed my medicine so no one gets sick to heal… it’s just impossible. Extremely frustrating after spending so much time to get this far only to quit because of this on the seemingly last puzzle. Don’t know if I’ll be interested in playing future games if it’s going to be like this. Ugh.

Progress is slow or expensive

I’ve noticed that the progress of the villagers and the technology is extremely poor. So it’s either you wait days and sometimes weeks to acquire the amount of technology you need. Or you are forced to purchase it, which is not fun either the progress needs to be improved so that if you watch videos which there’s a lot of them. You actually get something that is substantial and usable or you adjust the progress so that people don’t have to wait days for simple things. Was this even tested on a panel of people? The game has a great concept however it’s boring.

We're always reviewing pricing and the in-game economy to ensure a balance of fairness and a reasonable difficulty level. There are many other ways to earn Lavastones and Tech Points apart from buying them in the Marketplace - you can earn them through random events in the game, exploring volcanic cracks, watching video ads, the daily reward calendar and much more!

Crafting bugs and AI

I’ve played all of the Last Day of Work games and loved all of them. For this new one, I am not feeling it as much because of the direction of the game, especially because of the heavy usage of AI. It was disappointing to watch the animated scene, as I believe the scene could’ve been hand-drawn instead of using AI. There is a lot more of in-game currency purchasing too, which is not a big issue to me but the game feels more of pay-to-win sort of game instead of it being a fun game to play.

I would love to see the direction of this game switch to using actual art instead of AI. I know AI makes everything a lot easier and faster to develop but I would rather wait than to see AI implemented almost everywhere in the game.

Besides AI, there are some bugs where crafting recipes disappear or the ingredients turn into something else.

Super fun but the tech points….

I absolutely love Virtual Villagers. The game is very nostalgic for me since I have been playing this game as a kid. The game is great, but the tech point system is straight up predatory. As soon as you get invested in the game, and start to progress. It becomes impossible to play without paying. I’m all for making money and I understand the need to make money but this is straight up predatory and impossible to play.

Finished Puzzle!

I just finished all puzzles and I really wish I can continue doing more even after puzzles are done. For example my villagers keep thinking of feast even after all puzzles were done. I’ve created a pie but I cannot put it in the oven because it was only for puzzles. I don’t like that after puzzles are done there’s nothing else you can do. The only thing you can do is breed for more villagers and have villagers work. Really wish I can keep coming back to do more. Now that all puzzle is done I’ll come back less and my villagers will just die down and the game is pretty much done there. 😕

One, I absolutely love this game. Played the series growing up so obviously I’m biased but it’s very fun! Two, their customer support team is absolutely amazing. My account had reset after making a purchase so I reached out to them and they were able to reinstate my purchase on the new island for me. They were very polite, quick, and helpful! Awful graphics

Bring back the original graphics! Everything looks so fake and AI I deleted it straight away… sad because I love the concept of Virtual Villagers!

Wish I Could Bring Back Dead as Many Times as I Wish

I fell in love with my villager, but I can only bring her back three times. I would rate this five stars if they made an option to revive my villager as many times as I wish.

Regardless, the next part of my review will mention that the game is not as pay-to-win as people are saying. It is pretty easy to get tech points without paying. There is a strategy that does not involve money. I love that LDW kept this game free-to-win over all of these years. I think the only game they made that’s truly pay-to-win is virtual villagers origins 2 (which they might’ve fixed since).

Time consuming

If ur gonna play this game.. intend on spending $.. if u don’t… u will wait months to get the tech points & lava rocks to b able to get anywhere.. then u have to wait months again to get to the next step… it takes FOREVER !!!! & this is coming from a solo retiree who has no life & time to wait… unless I die 1st.. if u have a life.. don’t even bother.. u’ll lose interest soon enuf… I’ve bin playing for some time & I’m bored out of my mind.. nothings happening.. !!!!!! So… movin on…again.. not the 1st time with VV games..!!!!! Oh… & if u don’t rely on help from the internet it will take even longer becuz it will take u FOREVER to figure out the next step… but don’t take my word 4 it… enjoy!!!!!! 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴 I give it 0 stars…but in order to send this I have to give it 1 under protest…!!!!!!😡

Love!!.. but..

This new update helps healers gain skill now without having to wait on sick villagers.. only problem is when i leave them at hospital and exit out game to gain healing experience .. it doesn’t move at all like the others do. :/ and my villager is close to death.. it already took 2 hours to get the healer bar halfway.

Money Hungry

The problem with this game is that everything cost actual money! You have to buy lava stones to get perks and other items you need that are impossible to get without buying anything. Tech points are slow to gain even if you have 5 master scientists. Puzzles are time consuming and villagers die before completing it because it takes so long. This is just like the previous virtual villagers which I was hoping it wasn’t. The game needs a lot of work, it’s still new and constantly getting updated, only problem is I was halfway through the game it updated and deleted all the progress. Honestly too many issues with the gameplay. I won’t be playing.

Love the game but…

I have played this game since the first version was computer only. I have completed every game and was excited to see another version come out. The game is great and I love playing it however the game does not seem to continue when the app is not open. I will be away from the game for a few hours and come back and there has been absolutely no progress except for the countdown clocks those still seem to work.

It’s ok.

I have played all the vv games and these last 2 have been just ok. I find myself missing a lot of elements from the older games.

Pls stop using ai it look dreadful and isn’t as creative and also there Isn’t much to do other than collecting tech points so maybe do something about that cuz I c at do much in the game without them..

Meh

Villagers die too easily and it’s hard to get them to reproduce quick enough. There aren’t enough to gather food or tech points to actually progress in the game. Too little food and they won’t reproduce. Too few tech points and you can’t do anything. Lower the amount of tech points needed so it doesn’t take so long that all the villagers die. You shouldn’t HAVE to spend money to play the game and that’s what it seems.

Not the Best

I love this series but the newer games have a huge issue. Everything takes FOREVER. This game is the most egregious example. I feel like every time i make progress I’m told I won’t see any affects for 14 hours up to THREE DAYS. Needing 14 of an item that takes 20 minutes to craft. With no speed up function this is ridiculous and a clear attempt at a cash grab. Especially when the amount of lava stones you get in this game compared to VV6 is halved. Disappointed and wasted my time.
