About

VitalTiles puts health data from Apple Health on your Apple Watch as a complication — including the metrics Apple provides no complication for: walking speed, walking steadiness, heart rate recovery, respiratory rate, VO₂ max, wrist temperature, environmental sound and thirty others. On your phone you open a dashboard: your step goal at the top, what matters today below it, and four topics to drill into. Walking — steps, distance, pace, step length, walking steadiness Sleep — duration, deep and REM sleep, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, wrist temperature Heart — resting heart rate, HRV, VO₂ max, heart rate recovery, blood pressure Environment — daylight, environmental sound, UV index, falls Six complications, in every shape your watch face supports: • Health metric — choose which value you want to see • Goals — three daily goals as rings • Streak — how many days in a row you met your step goal • Your energy — how you are doing compared with your own average • Coach — what matters today • Needs attention — automatically shows the metric that stands out On your home screen there are widgets too, up to a tile where movement, sleep and heart run through your week together. In Messages you share your steps in a single tap. A step goal that fits you The 10,000 steps you see everywhere came from a product, not from research: a 1965 Japanese pedometer called the "manpo-kei", literally 10,000-step meter. Recent research shows most of the health benefit is already reached around 7,000 steps. VitalTiles works out a goal based on your age and your current average, and explains where it comes from — citing the research it is based on. Associations from your own measurements After two weeks of wear, the app compares your active days with your quiet days and reports what that does to your sleep and heart rate. Only when the difference is large enough to mean something. Better to report nothing than to present a coincidence as an insight. A report for your doctor A PDF with your name, date of birth, the measurement period, how many data points there are per value, and where the numbers come from — including what a consumer watch can and cannot do. Without interpretation: that is a doctor's work. Thirty-five metrics, explained Every number comes with what it means, what is typical for your age, and what that is based on. No figures without context. What the app does not do • No ads, not even in the free version • At most one notification a day, and never to nudge you • Your health data stays on your device; no account, no analytics service • No account, no sign-in Free and Plus Free forever: all complications, your daily numbers, the step goal, the health signals, and one month of trend history. With Plus: associations from your own data, trends over a year, the doctor's report, the build-up program, working out what moving more would gain you, and notifications. You get two weeks of full access without payment details. Then you decide. Not a medical device. VitalTiles makes no diagnosis and replaces no examination. If you have symptoms, contact your doctor. What's New in VitalTiles

1.6

August 10, 2026

• Movement, sleep and heart together in one widget, with a chart showing how they run through your week. • Page back through days: see your steps, sleep and heart figures from an earlier day. • The white panel that slid up when switching tabs is gone. • The widget sometimes stayed empty or lagged behind. It now fetches faster and refreshes as soon as new data arrives. • Measurements your device cannot provide now explain why — for example that an Apple Watch is required. • The circular complication shows which measurement you are seeing, and all widget sizes are available. • If your phone differs from your watch, the app explains why. • New "On your watch" tab: what you can add and how to set it up. • Share with friends, and one subscription covers your whole family through Family Sharing.
