I want to score higher
I wish I could give the app five stars. The customization is unparalleled. I love their stance on privacy and security, and adore their stance on AI. All around a great experience and easy to navigate. I only wish that the app would open up to the full screen. The real estate is wasted on a large bar on the top and bottom of the screen. That and the biggest reason for a star drop is the dilemma with dark mode and forcing dark mode. It works cleanly with basic searches but if I force dark mode to apply to all pages the main search becomes bright and all other pages become dark. As someone with bad light sensitivity, this is not something I want to deal with long term even though I really like this browser and the company’s principles and quality.

A great browser
I’ve been using Vivaldi as the second browser on my iPhone. It’s the only browser that I have found that lets me go to the sites I want to go to, without problems.
Scam
this app violates Apple App Store guidelines by failing to purge its footprint when offloaded. Despite minimal usage, it holds unnecessary data that should consist of nothing more than basic configuration states. By storing re-downloadable files in the permanent directory to bypass the iOS offload command, it fights native storage features, hogs space in the ecosystem, and violates guidelines 2.5.10, 4.0, and 5.1.1. This app should either be removed from the store or updated to comply with Apple storage policies.

Switch from Google
I am SO happy that I was finally able to switch from Google to an AI-free browser. I haven’t encountered a single issue with Vivaldi and I’ve been using it (and the web browser) for about a year. I highly recommend anyone switch to it :)
Bought tickets out of state
I was looking for movie tickets online and your web browser took me to a movie theater in Pennsylvania when I’m in Colorado so I bought movie tickets online to a movie in Montrose, Pennsylvania, not Montrose Colorado because that’s what came up when I searched the movie tickets on your browser.

This browser honestly feels like how the internet was before Google. Yes I’m older than Google. I love this browser and all of its features especially the lack of Ai!

The Best Browser on both iPhoneOS and iPadOS
Safari didn't cut it, Opera & Opera GX are, at this point, copies, Firefox is surprisingly (like, seriously, unexpectedly) horrendously optimized and lags like hell, and Vivaldi used to be the main browser I used everywhere (before I switched to using LibreWolf on Desktop about a year and a half ago). Unrivaled featureset for advertisement and tracker blocking (including block lists like those of Ublock Origin!), deep customizability of the appearance of the app & browser itself, very strong immediate tool access through swipe-up, etc. search engines are also customizable and you can create new references to ones of your choosing. Also has ability to switch engines for private tabs.
app icon customizability is also something neat.
I have used this browser through thick and thin on my iPhone 16 pro, iPhone 12 mini, and my M1 iPad Pro. It is the best I have ever used inside the Apple Ecosystem.

Some problems but mostly good.
Vivaldi doesn’t won’t let me log into some sites, like Amazon. But not a dealbreaker. Took me a day to get used to tabs and start page. Good alternative to the big browsers.
This has been great.
Kara Swisher sent me. Loved it so far on iOS so now it goes on iPadOS. I don't know what Google is thinking -- even if you add the "-a" to a search, you can literally tell the results are made worse. So the Start Page search engine and always on private, all around great. Needs some design work and a name update, but NBD lol.

Excellent browser!
I switched to Vivaldi, both on my iPhone and desk computer, out of growing frustration with the growing and unavoidable presence of AI being forced into other browsers. The switch was seamless! I especially enjoy the tab layout in the phone app. It's refreshing to never see AI summaries. The browser also seems more geared toward privacy of the user. At the same time, it's easy to disable ad-blockers on certain sites as-needed. Glad I switched to Vivaldi!
