Uncancelable Product Warning

Before you download this product. You should be aware if you cancel you have to send the plastic tat back, or even after cancelling direct debit and app you will be charged £25. Unfortunately this device doesnt work only monitoring your driving data. Its secondary purpose is to check car issues. However this is a secondary purpose. This device has cost me over £600 in an engine repair. Please do not use this device as an engine warning tool. You will have an unfortunate experience with Vixa.

Not Particularly Accurate

Was warned that battery had poor health over 6 months ago. Got it checked and it was fine. Just recently it started to struggle to turn over and as winter is coming, I had it replaced. Now get a message that it can take up to 8 weeks for it to register on the app which is pretty poor. Also, they pointed me towards a battery that would cost over £250. Seems a bit steep to me.

One of the worst purchases made, avoid at all costs!

Got this as had an intermittent engine light come on and off. After a few weeks, EML light came on. A few days later, app says everything is fine so message support who said: unfortunately the device can’t always pick specific dashboard lights”. So it can’t pick up the most important one, apparently.

Next, on the back of that I used their free diagnostic. Booked it and was called to say the garage is chosen didn’t deal with what I suspected the issue to be (timing belt), so booked me with another.

When I arrived at that garage on the booking day, they couldn’t find it. Eventually they saw it in waiting but they said they no longer dealt with them because they were unreliable. The garage then went on to say when booked via them, any subsequent work is carried out through AA and billed to them, who add on their own charges and pass it to me. Therefore the free diagnostic isn’t free.

Finally, when trying to cancel i have had to contact support several times, despite every time them saying its cancelled but I still get charged.

It’s hard to believe this is run by a legitimate company to be honest. Avoid at all costs.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear you're unhappy with your Vixa device. We'd recommend using the free diagnostic health check to try to get to the bottom of the issues with the car, but please reach back out to the team if there's anything else we can help with.

It’s ok for car Health, but that’s it.

I’m giving it 2 stars as if you want to keep an eye on how your car is doing then it’s a good app if you’re willing to pay £5.99 a month. I don’t recommend using the app to book services/MOTs through a mobile mechanic as they are not reliable and can cancel on you; I recommend going elsewhere like Halfords or Kwik Fit. I think in terms of this issue they ether lower their monthly fee or make it more easier and reliable for this type of thing. 😒😒

Not working

As of 4/7/25.

So far I’ve had the app/device about 1 month and it’s still not connected. I’ve rung up a few times to be told each time that it’s being sorted and someone will be in touch, except the last time when I was finally told that there’s a problem with some newer members and the problem seems to be ongoing at present with no clear date as to when it’s going to be fixed.

I’m just currently waiting to see if they’re going to charge me again for a service which doesn’t work and they know doesn’t work.
