Great product, I have a suggestion

Having all the inputs available is great, I have 57 inputs. On the VMix host I have the inputs categorized with the colored tabs so I can display only the set that I want to see. This functionality would be great on the iPad. I can implement the user button on the iPad to only display the subset that I want to display, but it only changes the host computers display. What I really want to do is restrict which inputs the iPad display (i really don’t want to change what the host computer displays). Although the categories on the host should control which one display. A couple of solution might be; 1. Just color the inputs on the iPad the same as the host (at least quicker to find them) 2. Add buttons that correspond to the tabs in VMix to restrict which inputs display.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately the information that vMix passes through their API doesn't include these input groupings, so there would be no way for our app to know what inputs are in what groups. Thanks for using the app!

Update is good but needs to stay connected

Update: i like a lot of new features with the newest update but I hate if I leave the app and go to another, you have to hit the connect button to reconnect. Then there’s a slight delay before being able to control anything. Very frustrating when trying to swap mics quickly. The old version did not make you reconnect each time.
I can control vMix from my church pew! I get to sit by my wife in church again. Thank you. Can you please add an update and add the default iPad clock and battery at the top of the page?

Useful app with responsive developer

Updating my review to 5 stars. I had an issue with the app crashing. I emailed their support email and Seth (the developer) called me directly to help troubleshoot. Turns out it was an issue with my configuration in VMix. If you’re having issues, retrace your steps through the tutorial.

The app is solid and provides a very responsive and intuitive digital control surface for VMix. I love the audio controls and routings options.

Great App for vMix

I’ve been using this app for more than a year. Takes a lot of vMix complexity and puts it on a simple to use and intuitive graphic interface. The recent upgrade makes it even better than before. Thanks Seth.

It’s become useless

Previous version was brilliant. I used mostly as an audio desk. Realistic faders which responded instantly to your touch and level meters which accurately replicated the vMix screen. Now there is ridiculous latency in moving the faders, which have taken on the appearance of some DJ toy. The level meters often 'stick', so are next to useless. This is a really bad app now.

Does not connect to VMix

The app doesn’t work. I can connect to VMix using any browser but not this app. Truly disappointing! Wasting time and money.

Keep trying to connect. vMix Web url is correct but app won’t connect. Useless

Freezes while connected

When you’re not actively using is for a few minutes’ it freezes and stops working. And you can’t reconnect while streaming is on going. Such a waste

Maybe with iOS v14, app crashes. I have demo installed and iPad app crashes trying to connect.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Have you made your network security set to "private" and not public? Also, be sure to only type in the IP address without the port number or http://. Are you able to connect to the web controller through safari?

What a waste of money

It has not worked from day one and there is no support.

Windows 10

Does not appear to work with Windows 10. 10 combines “home” and “work” networks into “private” so I need a recommendation one he network settings to work with Win10. Network is set to Private. Firewall is allowing connections to vMix as confirmed by the native vMix web controller working.

Audio controls

More control over audio would be nice, to adjust compressor settings etc and also see the Aux C &D. Vid control is fine but it would be nicer to adjust audio more precisely.

DONT BUY

All the pictures, and some of the videos that you see are great for the use of this app. However when you put in the IP address the app force closes on iPad Pro 12.9” second gen. Leaving this review in hopes that the developer will make contact to help troubleshoot. Happy to update if that happens. Hoping for a refund if it cant work.

Make sure your network security is set to Private and not Public. Also be sure that you are only typing in the IP address and no http:// or port number

Crashes upon connecting

Used to work, but now crashes immediately upon connecting. As of 4/9/20.

Also be sure that there is no user name and password in the web controller settings. Also check the allow access box in the web controller settings.
