Great app, no glitch

This is a really good basic app. There are no glitches in my experience with its latest version. I think it is a really nice option because it explains things in simple steps and allows people who are new to voiceover to learn step-by-step. Apple does have a tutorial, but it does really require some knowledge and comfort with voiceover in order to go through it. I think this app would be best used by someone new to voiceover with a friend sitting by to answer any questions. That being said, I think you can tap a play button with VoiceOver off and still experience using the gestures in case you are low vision.

Just what voiceover was missing.

The tips Apple give regarding voiceover are useful, but do not replace a good tutorial. VO starter does a great job at teaching Voiceover’s basics.

Glitchy at best

If there is anything worse than trying to learn how to use voiceover, it’s trying to use an app that’s supposed to help with that, that doesn’t work well.

This could be a terrific app. If they get all the bugs worked out of it. As a vision individual, I look forward to the kind of technology that can help me learn how to use my devices without eyesight.

Sadly, this app isn’t it. I’m not certain how the one person who’s already given feedback has given it five stars.

The app is designed to work with voiceover on yet it doesn’t do that. It works great with voiceover off. But with voiceover off you can practice the voiceover commands.

This app has a long way to go before it’s actually useful for teaching someone how to use voiceover.
