User reviews

Nice UI but not Free

Hey Devs! Hoping for a response here. I really like the app, but after a while I just get locked out whenever I try to open it, and it shows me options to buy pro, with no option for a free plan. I wish there was a free plan.

Great addition

This app works locally on your watch without a connection so you can view your Vo2 max without needing to use your phone. It makes it that much closer to a Garmin. The mobile app is also feature rich and gives more in depth information about your Vo2max than other apps I’ve tried.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your review! I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the app's local functionality and appreciate the depth of information it provides. We're constantly working to improve the app, and your feedback is invaluable in that process.

Very disappointed

Advised App owner that it no longer worked on my apple phone but not even an acknowledgement. I strongly advise that if anyone intends to use this app that they check that it is compatible with their watch.

Getting better

Love the new update with the Cooper test, but for the developer: the moment one enters a number into the Cooper test field, the app becomes unusable because you can’t leave the page anymore. Whoops.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, you’re absolutely right. We fixed the issue where the keyboard could trap you on the Cooper test screen, and the fix will be in the next update.

FAQ

What is VO2 max and how does this app measure it?

VO2 max represents the maximum amount of oxygen your body can absorb and utilize during peak physical exertion. This app estimates your VO2 max by utilizing data from outdoor walks or runs tracked with continuous heart-rate monitoring for at least 20 minutes, with the Workout app running and GPS enabled on your Apple Watch.

What kind of performance estimates does the app provide?

The app provides estimates for running and cycling by converting your VO2 max and weight into W/kg and FTP (Functional Threshold Power) values. It also allows you to compare modeled race times and power outputs against your actual HealthKit FTP or power meter data.

Is this app free to use?

The app offers a free version with in-app purchases for advanced features and full access. A trial countdown is available, and subscription access is clearly indicated within the app.

What are the compatibility requirements for this app?

To use this app, you will need an Apple Watch Series 3 or later. The app also requires access to your HealthKit data via the Health app on your iPhone to display VO2 max, widgets, and complications.

How can I see if my cardio fitness plan is working?

The app's redesigned dashboard provides immediate insights into how your training affects your cardio fitness. You can view your latest measurement, rolling averages, and personal bests, along with trend cards highlighting 7-day averages and selected date ranges to track progress over time.
