The free version is actually pretty good

I’m only subscribed to the free version of this app but it’s actually pretty decent considering it’s free. I like the fact that it provides at least 5 different vocabulary words, with descriptive definitions that are used in sentences and also provide an audio of how to pronounce the word correctly. After reading and learning about the definitions then you can take a quiz to test your knowledge. Once you successfully pass the quiz then you level up and start learning newer terms. It’s a good app with a really nice interface and design. It’s easy to use and I think the paid subscription is worth the money but I can’t afford to subscribe at this time. There is a free trial subscription but I’m not sure how many days it lasts.

a small wish

I really like this App and almost use it everyday. I really miss the feature from the old version that allowed me to edit the definition and example sentence before adding a word to my Journal list. This allowed me to input the exact sentence I encountered while reading, along with the Chinese translation. Reviewing words this way made it much easier to remember their actual usage.

While I understand that quickly adding words meets the needs of some users, the old method provided a multi-layered approach that greatly helped with long-term memory. Would it be possible to add a toggle in the settings so users can choose between the "Quick Mode" and the "Classic Mode"? Thank you!

The previous editing step was removed to make adding words quicker and more practical for most users. However, after adding a word to your Journal, you can still edit its details and add your own example sentences, including the exact sentence you encountered while reading. Great app

I’ve already learned new words on the first use, a good sign for regular use of this app in the future. There are a few apps like this in the App Store, but this one is more affordable than the others and therefore I recommend it more. The price is perfectly fair for the knowledge 👍🏻 as a writer I’m excited to expand my vocabulary in a fun way like this.

It comes up when you filter for free vocabulary games, but as soon as you complete the skills assessment, it requires paid membership to go any further.

Every time I open the app, a subscription keeps popping up, which is really annoying. I wish there was a way to turn it off, but I also wish I could subscribe, but I don’t have enough money. I understand that they want me to subscribe, but maybe they should stop making these pop-ups.

Good but limited

I think it should be more accessible without having to pay money. It’s a great tool and useful but it’s obnoxious that right when you think you might like it it wants you to pay. It’s not enough for me to spend money on but it could be if I could see more or try it for a longer time with out having to pay. Other than that it’s brilliant. That’s the only thing holding me back from telling other people about it. Or recommending it.

Best vocabulary building app

I have tried other vocabulary building apps. This one has the best design. The lesson it bite size with exercises to help me remember the words. The quizzes are frequent enough to help recalling the learned words.

I’m absolutely loving, Vocabulary Builder by Atlas! Growing up, I always enjoyed the vocab part of English class. I feel like my vocabulary is proficient, but it could always be better. The App is actually “fun,” & I am learning new words. If you need improvement in your writing, conversing & just keeping your brain sharp.. this is a fantastic app to do so!
