Secure Net

Works really well

Online protection

The online protection button is missing from the app now,so can’t see if there’s been any threats.it’s just ID monitoring and scam call protection. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still not there. Make me feel anxious. My subscription says active on the my Vodafone app. It comes up on the web version- update the good/fair logo is missing, plus the online protection button reappeared and is now missing again.

Who makes these decisions?

Not sure how my favourite sports radio station ‘Talksport’ is being locked due to malicious content! Get it back on please and stop policing what I choose to listen to.

Brilliant

Brilliant

Where are the details?

Practically only toggle switches and can’t do anything else. Get a text saying click here for more details and all I see is a toggle and a kid smiling with his mum

Talk sport

Why have you blocked this app it’s a sports radio station
Please put back on asap
No reason to do this

Very Poor

Not sure if this is all Secure net or the woefully shocking Ultra Hub 7. After more than 10 hours of support calls, DHCP addresses disappearing, devices still connected to wifi but internet dropping in and out, Secure Net saying doing was a speediest on ookla was a threat and blocking it. I have finally given up and gone back to my ultra Hub 6 (which works absolutely perfectly). Even the support team had to admit they couldnt solve Ultra Hub 7 Issues (they updated booster firmware (interestingly the Hub is still running an April Firmware - check Redditt and you’ll see lots of people having the same issues),. Whats a shame is that Vodafone won’t take the Kit back and replace the boosters with wifi 6 when they kn wo the 7 hub is fundamentally flawed. Shame on you Vodafone but be warned their wifi 7 tech is not yet ready for the wild!!

Don’t use SecureNet!

It’s so bad, it automatically adds legitimate websites under ‘block’ or adds suspicious harmful, and sensitive websites (not even proper website addresses) under ‘allow’ - crazy!
Doesn’t notify you and provide option to decline or accept each time which would solve that problem - or why not just let customers add their own websites instead of Vodafone making assumptions..?!
As a result, you have to keep checking what is allowed or blocked and manually delete as appropriate.
Not knowing actually makes things less secure!!
Vodafone offer no solution and a developer replied and just said ‘use social media channels’ if I wanted to discuss, but no idea how that works so I’m not going to lose another 60 minutes my life finding out.
Use a better, more secure provider that doesn’t charge £2 monthly and have a very unsafe element, rip-off and very poor service as a Vodafone customer!

Doing its job

Secure net seems to do its job but doesn’t actually give me any real information on what it’s blocking. It will tell me that it has blocked suspicious activity but when you click on the notification, it just opens the app and doesn’t give any info on what it is or how to deal with it?? Bit frustrating and I’m struggling to identify the culprit.

Uninformative

Doesn’t explain threat; seems to work on a device that wasn’t even switched on. Very suspecious!

Useless Rubbish

Randomly blocks speed tests ? Probably to hide how poor their WiFi 7 router is. Absolutely shameful and should not be sold

keeps blocking legitimate work

Hard to use when secure net decides legitimate web apps are security threats. Trying to find a whitelist is nearly impossible. Poor app design

Ok

Great that it protects my network, but what is the point of a notification and then not being able to review it and its impact.
Update. Now get notification with what the attempt was but still no detail in the app just high level number. Need which device the attempt was made on, even if it is just the IP address and the malware. So I can investigate more

Excellent app

Highly recommended

Unreliable

The app is unreliable. It doesn’t always stick to the times that have been set for restrictions. None of the functions work every time. Really not impressed.

Brilliant service

Very good

Don’t use this service!

It’s so bad, it incorrectly adds legitimate websites to ‘block’ or adds suspicious, harmful, sensitive and incorrect information (not even proper website addresses) to ‘allow’ - on its own, without even notifying you and giving you the option to decline or accept each time which would solve the problem!
As a result, you have to keep checking what is allowed or blocked and manually delete as appropriate.
It actually makes things less safe not more secure, completely contradictory! I asked Vodafone and they have no answer, unbelievable!!
Use a better provider that also doesn’t charge £2 monthly, absolute rip-off as a Vodafone customer…
