It does exactly as described and I have to say is perfect for controlling my smart Home straight from my Apple Watch. Also very worthy of note, I had a question and contacted Damian the developer. Even on Easter Saturday he came back to me within 10 minutes and offered fantastic customer service. Five stars all round.

Works with Apple Watch
I wanted an easy to use app to use with Alexa switches and it works well. And tech support are brilliant
Exactly what I was looking for
Great app. The only problem is half the time it doesn’t automatically listen when I open the app even though I have it set to listen when launched.
Perfect function once it’s set up. Sad to learn it went end-of-life
I’m sad to learn that this niche, but super useful app has gone end-of-life due to changes at Amazon and their Alexa Voice Service. The app worked every bit as well as any other Alexa voice speaker that I had, and let me access my Alexa voice functions without having to go through the buggy and ever-changing Alexa app. It was a nice bonus that I felt like I had better control of the microphone in the Voice in a Can app than I do with the official app. It looks like Amazon, at some point in 2024, stood up a new Works With Alexa certification program for things such as Tizen apps and such to act as an Alexa device. I don’t know if it’s worth the effort for D. to pursue that, but I’m grateful to them for maintaining this app for so long.

Alexa for Apple Watch
Can’t complain. Works well. Don’t even have to say the Alexa keyword. Only feedback is to have higher res icons for complications on watch. They look a but pixelated compared to other icons.
Do Not Purchase This App
It is a garbage app. It works sometimes. Sometimes it doesn’t. Emailed developer and Apple and heard nothing back.
As for the developer he finally reached out and made it quite known he has tens of thousands of customers. Wow!!! Good for you. But there are probably thousands that aren’t happy with this garbage in a can app.

Absolutely Amazing!
I’ve tried several other apps in the past the claim to work with Alexa, but this one, by far is definitely the one that Just Works.
Plus the Apple Watch app is so convenient.

Alexa on your wrist!
My house can get noisy so being able to control my Alexa devices from my iWatch is so convenient! Not to mention the stressless interface that Voice in a can provides instead of the very frustrating shouts at my closest Alexa device.
Seems to work very well
Only just got this app, but set up was easy, so far its working well, I can switch on and off my wifi plugs with Alexa all via my Apple SE watch now, well pleased, well worth the money…..
Amazing!!
Not being able to control Alexa from my (iPhone or) watch has been the vain of my existence since….forever. Discovered this app this morning, installed it in seconds (plus 5 minutes for figuring out iOS shortcuts) and BOOM! The girls now play nicely! Touch my watch and I can control the lights, the irrigation system, scenes, everything. Beautiful!

Terrible app
The only list that is accessible is a single shopping list. Unable to access any other lists. Deleting app.
No drop in
Only got this to easily drop in on devices in other rooms but it says not supported.

This is an absolutely stellar app and worth every penny asked for. When you play a podcast or the news, the audio quality is superior to any physical Amazon device I’ve ever owned. highly recommended.
Excellent App and Customer Service
I have been using this app daily for the past 3 months. Works well. I did a device swap and number change to my apple watch yesterday. Went to reinstall and it wouldn't work. Emailed Damian (Developer) and had a response within a few hours. During the interim I went to a Apple Store to seek help, I was having trouble with a couple of other issues. It turned out to be a Apple ID problem. Although I got it fixed Damian (Developer) was on top of it, offering his help.

Not working for me
Audio turns off 7 seconds after it starts on my Apple Watch regardless of whether the always on display is on or off. Hopefully this problem will be sorted quickly as it’s unusable as it is.

Alexa rules my home and now s/he comes with me on my wrist as well...just about anything I can ask the 'house' to do, I can now ask Alexa on my Apple Watch to do...
