Thanks for the feedback! We actually don't use the most basic FFT approach. You've probably developed something similar yourself. The FFT method has pretty low accuracy in real-world scenarios, which is why it doesn't fit our current app. We spent a lot of time doing research and designed a method that we believe balances both performance and realtime responsiveness. We've tested on a wide range of devices, and the experience is very smooth for most users. If you're really seeing 2-3 seconds of delay, please share your device, OS version, and setup details — we'd be happy to debug it (feel free to email us directly). We're guessing you found us through the filter search: yes! we're the creators of the original Perfect Pitch Challenge filter on TikTok, where we shared the filter for free. But TikTok has quite a few limitations that stop us from fully realizing our ideas. That's why we built this app — to bring more of our creative vision to life without those restrictions. Thanks for the feedback! I completely understand your frustration, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Our pitch detection algorithm is designed to be nearly as accurate as some pro apps, and it’s been tested by numerous users.
