The quiet capture powerhouse
Vox.md has become one of my most-used tools. I picked it up for voice memos into Obsidian, and it quietly transformed my daily capture flow.
The Capture Presets system is brilliant β each preset owns its destination, template, and placement. My voice memos land directly in the right daily note, formatted exactly as I want, zero friction. On-device transcription (Apple Speech, optional Whisper and Parakeet) keeps everything private.
The 2.x line has been refined update after update: durable capture queue, Watch pause/resume, speaker diarization, wide localization. Fast, thoughtful iterations from a developer who clearly uses the app himself.
And beyond voice β text, links, photos, scans, sketches, files β the same presets handle it all. I'm just starting to explore the full range, but it opens a whole world for a serious note-taker.
Five stars, and a genuine thank you.

Exactly What I Needed
For a while now, Iβve been trying to find a way for me to verbally take notes quickly, add in attachments, transcribe locally, and sync to an Obsidian folder. This app does it perfectly.
Underrated, Overlooked, Not forgotten
Quickly becoming one of my favorite and most used apps in 2026!
Response from developer
