I had no problem with pairing it to my phone. The reason I gave it only four stars is because I had a problem, setting it up and finding out what I needed to do. At hand and destruction manual in it would’ve made it very simple.
Stop working after a 7days
Purchased this mug on Amazon for my husband. It worked for 7 days and went totally dead. Tried to upload the app and it looked as if it was a virus on my phone. The app started blinking continuously. Very disappointing. Now I have to return it.
A big disappointment
I set the app for 150°, and it automatically drops to 143°. The mug itself started vibrating on its own, and the temperature lights on the mug were flashing. I turned the mug off and turned it back on. That stopped it for a while, but it came back. I am returning this item.
Firmware issues
Cup stops working after firmware update. Heat turns off on its own. Even though update said it fixes this problem.
Poor user experience
I know this is half the price of the Ember mug, but ultimately you get what you pay for. There are several issues with this product. Number one, the app user experience is extremely poor. It constantly disconnects from your mug, which means you have to re-pair the mug with your app every single time. There’s no user manual in the app, so I don’t even know how to pair it sometimes; it’s hit or miss. I think you just press the button for two seconds or something, but the Bluetooth connection is very inconsistent. Number two, the battery lasts less than two hours at 145°F - more like 1.5 hours, so you’re only getting about 30 more minutes compared to the Ember mug. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow you to preset the temperature; every time you close the app, it defaults back to the manufacturer’s preset. The charger plate is quite big compared to the Ember mug too - kind of bulky. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed. Yes, it is half the price of the Ember mug, but I would gladly pay more for a more premium feel, a better app, and a more consistent user experience.
The frustration with this mug and the app is not worth saving $50.

Useless
App never send Captcha to email. Absolutely worthless with an unnecessarily complicated login that doesn’t even work . It’s a coffee cup, not a bank vault.
App bugging out for the uv smart water bottle
The bottle serves its purpose but the app or idk I’m stuck in a loop of update 1.2.5 update success, update fail update success then fail. Very irritating can’t force stop the update, drains the battery.
Not pairing
Love the bottle but the app is not pairing. Have tired everything and still not pairing.
Unable to connect.
Since the latest update, I can’t connect to my cup. I keep adding the device and it says it’s successful, but it’s not showing up in the app. So now i can adjust the temperature to keep it warm. Useless. Please fix!!
Self Cleaning Water Bottle
Cannot connect bottle to app after numerous attempts. I tried keeping it on charger, changing to different modes, reinstalling the app. Still doesn’t connect.
Product good -App NOT
I like the cup a lot. The app is not well thought out. It leaves much to be desired. I too had pairing issues after my power went out. Tried all day to “discover” my device with no avail. Then after looking at all connections and cleaning them I finally saw there was a power button on the bottom of the cup itself. With the app open in device discovery mode…. while holding the peer button down… I tapped “rescan” and wallah! I can now keep my coffee hot again. I should have never had to try and figure that out on my own. I searched all their support sites… texted them in the app… and tried messaging them in the app. NEVER got any response or reply back. This was a gift so I had no way of returning it.

The app is terrible. Same as the device. They did nothing except waste my electricity.
App will not connect to mug
No matter how many times I have installed and reinstalled the app, it will not connect to the mug. On top of that, when you try to send in a request for service to try to fix the problem, you have to take a photo of the "failure problem" but Vsitoo wants access to your entire photo library!!!! Sending it back.
