Behind the times

Needs to be updated monthly to support new batteries and BMS options for manufacturers newest products. Specifically, Victron NG (Next Generation) products. VERY difficult compilenanfilentonimporrnehrn none of the parameters work with each other and it makes guessing a turkey shoot.

Great Regulator; Lousy App

I recently had a Wakespeed WS 500 Pro regulator installed to manage our new Balmar 170 amp alternator. It does a superb job managing enabling faster, charging better, efficiency, and perfect integration with the other parts of our battery system. However, the WAKE speed app is horrible. It is extremely confusing. Fortunately, you don’t need to use the app other than to configure the regulator the first time for the alternator and batteries.

When done with configuration and saved, turn on expert mode to export/share .txt file.

Latest version 1.10.1(66) won’t export config txt file

This latest version of the app (1.10.1(66)) does not share the configuration text file. Instead you get a text file that simply says the attached configuration files were created using the Wakespeed app and you get a text file.jason file. You do NOT get a text configuration file as you did with an older version of the app.

So now I can’t even create a configuration file using this iOS app, save it, and move it to a windows machine so that I can import it from there.

Now I HAVE to use an Android device to directly import the configuration to the WS500 because they broke the ability to share(export) the text based configuration file from this iOS app and you can’t use the iOS app to communicate with the WS500.

Ridiculous. Does ANYONE do any testing anymore?
