AirmarCAST™ vs Wakespeed

Airmar® CAST™ connects to the Bluetooth®-enabled DST810, DX900+, WX300 multisensors and SmartBoat® modules on your boat, making sensor configuration and calibration easy with intuitive app navigation and real-time data from your multisensor. View data on detailed gauges and digital data screens, and perform speed, temperature, and attitude calibrations without the need for additional converters or cables. With CAST, you can configure your multisensor directly, regardless of the other displays and gauges on board. All data configurations and calibrations are stored in the multisensor and delivered on the NMEA2000® network. When used with DST810, you can calibrate basic or heel-compensated speed through water using your on-board GPS speed for comparison. Intuitive wizards guide you through multiple runs to correct for current. Or take it a step further to advanced speed calibration, with up to five heel angles and ten reference speeds. Until now, advanced speed calibration was only possible through expensive PC based software. With Airmar’s SmartBoat® modules, the CAST app delivers the fastest connection to the SmartView software for system configuration.

The Wakespeed App allows for simple and reliable configuration, updating, monitoring, and diagnostics of your Wakespeed Offshore WS500 and WS500 Pro Advanced Regulator. Create configurations using Wakespeed's 100's of built in of pre-defined, manufacturer recommended configuration parameters for batteries, alternators, and BMS's; select the brand and models you are using from three easy-to navigate screens to create a customized configuration for your regulator -- just pick-n-go. 'Expert Mode' allows the configuration to be further refined and customized, including adjusting the Charge Profile and accessing some of the more advanced options and capabilities. Once you have created your configuration it may be saved for later retrieval, shared with others via the built in 'share' tools (Email, messaging, etc), or sent to your WS500 / WS500 Pro Alternator Regulator. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your WS500 Pro using Bluetooth to configure, monitor, update, or take logs. With your WS500 regulator 'share' your configuration with a Windows based PC and use the Wakespeed "Universal Configuration Utility" (downloadable at http://www.wakespeed.com/technical ) and a USB cable. Alternatively you can share the configuration to an Android based phone for direct transfer using an OTG adapter. Configuration and updating can even be done before the WS500 / WS500-Pro is installed by powering it through the USB port.
