Game day audio just got more reliable. Fixed an issue where a walk-up could sit silent for 15 to 20 seconds when Apple Music hit a snag. The lineup now moves on right away. Clearer messages when a song can't play, with better guidance when you're offline at the field. Smarter handling of slow Apple Music starts, so working songs don't get cut off by mistake. Robot voice

I think that they intentionally leave a horrible robot voice in the intro, so you have to pay to get rid of it. Otherwise it is good

Hey dgrensky23, before you write us off, try the voice called Minor League Mike! He’s free. Go to Settings > Voices, tap Minor League Mike, and follow the one-time download prompt (it’s an Apple Accessibility voice, already on your phone or a quick download). Night and day difference. The premium voices use AI voice generation which costs me real money per announcement, so I can’t offer those for free, but Minor League Mike is genuinely great. And if you prefer no intro voice at all, you can disable announcements in Settings too. Hope that helps!

Won’t Work

I have it connected and tried using Apple Music already downloaded on my phone and it won’t play the songs.

Walk-Up Hype requires an active Apple Music subscription to play songs, not just music downloaded to your device. If your subscription lapsed or you're on a different plan, that would explain why the songs won't play. If you do have an active apple music subscription and it's still not working, please email us at support@walkuphype.com and I'll personally keep working with you until you're up and running!
