Robot voice

I think that they intentionally leave a horrible robot voice in the intro, so you have to pay to get rid of it. Otherwise it is good

Hey dgrensky23, before you write us off, try the voice called Minor League Mike! He’s free. Go to Settings > Voices, tap Minor League Mike, and follow the one-time download prompt (it’s an Apple Accessibility voice, already on your phone or a quick download). Night and day difference. The premium voices use AI voice generation which costs me real money per announcement, so I can’t offer those for free, but Minor League Mike is genuinely great. And if you prefer no intro voice at all, you can disable announcements in Settings too. Hope that helps!

Won’t Work

I have it connected and tried using Apple Music already downloaded on my phone and it won’t play the songs.

Hey Amtuze, thanks for the details and I'm sorry to hear this hasn't been working for you! Walk-Up Hype requires an active Apple Music subscription to play songs, not just music downloaded to your device. If your subscription lapsed or you're on a different plan, that would explain why the songs won't play. If you do have an active apple music subscription and it's still not working, please email us at support@walkuphype.com and I'll personally keep working with you until you're up and running! I read every support email personally and would love the chance to help you out. -Daniel

Great music, easy simple to use

Grandson likes using the app as well as his team mates and said “it’s so cool” I think from what he said it’s easier to use.

Best of these apps

I’ve tried several of these apps for fun and they were all pretty clunky. This one was really easy to use and did everything I needed it to do. Don’t waste time on the others - start with this one.

Grandad review

My grand son plays and it’s really fascinating how they now get to pick their music from this app. When I was I kid our Walk up music was the coach saying. “Your up” 😂

Not just for baseball

This app is amazing! While it’s clearly perfect for baseball (or tee ball in my daughter’s case), I’ve been using it for other reasons too. Want to make an awesome entrance at a party? Use this app to hype it up. Just knocked out my wife’s honey-do list and want to showboat? Use this app to hype it up. Want to spice up a boring work meeting? Use this app to hype it up!

Next level

This has been such a fun addition to our first grade baseball team. I used to think it was silly and not worth all the coordination, but then we got this app and it’s been so fun and given the boys confidence heading up to the plate. It’s been really easy to use. Even when we make last-minute changes to the lineup and batting order, I have a mom on the sideline that does a great job of keeping it up and running. Thanks for making it fun and easy!!

Adding music sucks

I have a subscription to Apple Music. I have downloaded the songs on Apple Music to ensure smooth transition. Every time I attempt to preview or go into game mode to ensure it’s functioning properly but it won’t play the music, just announce the player.

Clean, modern graphics, tells you who’s up to bat, on deck, and in the hole. So happy this was created, and made my job as team DJ a million times easier!
