Like the App

I like this app so far regarding the workout and the speaking during the workout. I like to be able to track water and know how many steps I should take to meet my goal. However I don’t carry my phone everywhere I go and the app still isn’t reading steps with the Apple Watch so it isn’t accurate. There was a review a year ago saying this app was working on it. I downloaded the app a year later and was hoping for accuracy and it is still frustrating. Lesson learned to read before making a purchase…

Don't get much unless you pay a lot!!!

I don't know how this app has such a high rating after seeing so many reviews about their misleading charges. Fortunately, this did not happen to me. I had this app on my phone for a while and decided to try it out tonight. I had a good workout and decided to look ahead to see what the next workouts would be. Turns out you only get two days of the workout in the free version and have to pay to get more days. I would consider paying if it was $39/year, but no way is the app worth $119/year. I have now deleted the app.

ETA: Looks like a lot of fake reviews to bring up the overall rating.

Reply to developers reply:

I'm not sure what inconvenience you are referring to by your canned reply. I notice you have replied to many reviews a while back saying it is not your intention to mislead people and that you took their feedback and were making changes. Doesn't look like anything has changed based on recent reviews.

Can’t cancel

The app is fine, but I want to cancel the auto renewal. I have been to AT&T and they were very surprised that I could not pull up app and simply cancel. The sent me to the Apple store and they too were surprised that I could simply cancel. They said I had to contact the ME app online. Well, I cannot find contact information. I have auto renewal coming up. At this point I plan to cancel my card. Any suggestions?

New App

I just got this yesterday and I’m still trying to figure out how to use it. How does it know how much water you drink (it hasn’t prompted me to do so yet, even though I set it to do so). How does it count your footsteps during the day (not workout time)? It could use some improvement as far as user friendliness goes, needs to be easier to understand.

Update: I now know how to use it, and it’s exactly what I want as far as what it offers, but it turns out that unless you’re willing to upgrade (i.e. pay money) you can’t access beyond the first 2 days of workout plans. This app shouldn’t be advertised as free when you really have to pay in order to use it. Doing that makes it the app equivalent of click bait.

Response from developer

Hey there, step-counting in iPhones is calculated using some in-built sensors like accelerometers, gyroscopes, and compasses. The co-processor then calculates both step count and activity recognition. We hope this info helps clear the air :) We would be grateful if you sent us some more info on how you are using the water tracker to support@betterme.tips. We'll look into it and gladly answer any questions! Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Best regards, Team BetterMe Walking

Very Deceptive and now I can’t get out

Please accept this review as notification to cancel my subscription. As noted in other reviews it is very deceptive in the manner that you get people to sign up by cloaking your subscription in small print. You answer your reviews by saying you are correcting this but since July you have not corrected and as part of the answer to the review you do not tell people how to cancel the subscription. I am going to also send a note to apple that you are stealing people’s money by using these deceptive techniques. Again please cancel my subscription immediately. This company and its practices needs to be reported to the FBI.
