Really Appreciate This App
I really appreciate this app and the people working on it— I looked for a while to find an app that would get rid of Youtube Shorts and this is the only one that does it consistently and without having to pay for it. The app is a little buggy (need to press the YT widget button twice to open, sometimes sound gets a little messed up) but it works for blocking shorts everytime and I can see improvements being made every update. Will definitely continue to use!!

Blocks shorts and reels as promised
It uses a web version of youtube and instagram which is okay to some degree* (*cant open photos in instagram). overall, this app does what it says!!!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!
This app is exactly the tool I needed to cut my habit of doomscrolling Youtube Shorts. Literally insane how effective it’s been for me — if I get on the regular youtube app, I don’t get sucked into the Shorts (but I still use this instead, just in case).
A few things could be improved (but given how helpful this app has been, these issues are so minor): 1) little mini player won’t keep playing when you leave the app. 2) sometimes it can feel a little “sticky” when I try to swipe back to the page I was on before, 3) when I open the app, sometimes it takes me to the wallblocker page, and I don’t know how to get Youtube to open unless I click out to my home screen and then click the app again.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for making exactly what I needed!!! Now I just need to find a solution for Reddit…that’s my last doomscroll addiction.

Good, Needs a Fix
It’s very effective in helping to avoid scrolling, HOWEVER, once you block an app and meet the “tapping limit” to unblock an app, it stays unblocked even after the time limit you set. I have to re-block the app manually which sort of defeats the entire purpose, and requires a lot of self control lol

Paywall and once you create a shortcut it’s impossible to access the app settings anymore since the ‘app’ is linked to whatever shortcut you chose

Good idea
its good, but why is youtube audio so quiet?
i dont know why but youtube audio randomly decides what the “max volume” is at times and usually the max it goes is very quiet, whereas on the regular youtube app or safari website the volume is normal
..
Actually i had high expectations from this app , it works perfectly on android, but in my ipad , os 26 it don’t work at all

An effective alternative for instagram & youtube
This app modifies the settings of instagram & youtube, (like disabling certain functions) and is one of the best apps I’ve tried to limit my doomscrolling. Highly recommend
Not working as expected
Not working as expected. I have turned on the screen permissions and notifications access. But YouTube shorts still plays.
