Shocked how such an app is still on the App Store. They convert you to a $30 monthly subscription and make it almost impossible to cancel.

Getting charged monthly for something that should has been a 1 time purchase. I see insincere replies from the developer to others that have expressed the same concern but no mention of how to resolve the issue.

UK law specifically requires providers to notify users before a free trial converts into a paid subscription. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA), businesses are legally mandated to send reminder notices at key milestones, including the end of a "concessionary" or free period.
Mandatory Reminders: Providers must send you a reminder notice before the free trial expires and the first payment is taken.
Notice Period: This reminder should generally be sent 3 to 5 working days before your last chance to cancel without being charged.
Required Content: The notice must clearly state when the trial ends, the exact amount you will be charged, the frequency of future payments, and explicit instructions on how to cancel.
Easy Exit: If you signed up for the app online, the provider is legally required to ensure you can cancel it just as easily online—often referred to as the "one-click" or "two-click" rule.
It’s clear, having set out the legal requirements that support UK consumers that you are in breach. Please arrange for the balance of the refund without further delay.

Avoid its a Subscription
Despite claims by the Developer that it’s clear this is a subscription IT IS NOT CLEAR. You need to review the Customer Experience as all the instructions are incorrect and so many people have been caught out by your subscription service that if you genuinely didn’t want to annoy customers and get 5star reviews you would fix how people pay

Scam
This is a scam, only has few wallpapers that you can’t upload or get access to it . All you can do is to take a screenshot and create your own wallpaper. You can do the same from Google. I wasn’t able to create account . It says it’s subscription but I can’t see or manage that at all. From customer support, I got repeated automated reply, giving me 1 the same reply to whatever was my question. Is a scam and these people have multiple similar apps. Beware and read reviews before buying!!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP OR PAY THEM ANY MONEY.
I downloaded and paid £3.99 for a trial. I was especially interested in the watch faces but found out that they are only temporary and as soon as the screen saver activated they disappear. After complaining via email they admitted that Apple do not allow third party watch faces. This was disappointing enough but they then took £29.99 from my bank as full payment. After a few emails to and fro they refunded £14.99 as a guest use of good will.
Thank you for your response however in the description of your product nowhere does it mention that the watch faces are not permanent and in my apple account in the App Store your product was not listed and therefore could not be cancelled.

This app will fraudulently billed you on a re-occurrence basis outside of the the App Store.
The Dev response is a blatant lie, nothing about this scam is clearly disclosed.

No instructions, contacted support but have heard nothing after 24 hrs. It has been over a month since I got this product but can’t get it to work
Misleading
What a garbage app , watch faces keeps changing back to the Apple Watch face . Waste of money. They charge a premium subscription which is designed to give you a run around when you want your money back. After all the hassles of emails they only refunded 50% of the amount.
Total waste and a scam
Firstly, the app never actually loaded onto my watch and I was never able to make it work. It was shown as a one time charge. I was hit with a $30 subscription fee three months later and had no way to dispute it because the notification only came through the payment processor, not the actual developer

Scam—Do Not Download
Note how many reviewers are stating that the ongoing subscription is initiated in a way that is highly misleading. I’m going through various channels to get charges reversed and to get their practices reviewed. Posting this here to save others the trouble and potentially a lot of money.

Hidden subscription fees. Automated customer service responses. I’m initiating a chargeback through my credit card. Hopefully they take this off of the Apple Store and Visa Mastercard revokes their Merchant status.

I signed up through a Instagram ad and agreed to a $3.99 one-time charge. They ended up charging me $29.99/month. The app sucks as well. Search “thingol” in your credit card statement.
